I got the JBL 9.1 bar a couple of days ago and did the firmware update yesterday. Prior to updating, the bar's display read "Dolby Atmos" and streaming through my Xbox, it sounded as powerful as I expected. After the update, my bar's display now reads "Dolby Atmos Multi-Channel PCM", and it sounds significantly weaker than before. My upward speakers in particular sound practically dead half the time. Is there any way to undo the update, and roll it back to the previous firmware? Also, bear in mind that my 4K TV (Panasonic 55gx800A) only has ARC, and my soundbar is running through that.
Hold "Bass" for 5 seconds or longer an press "+" after that and you will see Dolby Atmos Multi-Channel with a different Pre-fix every time. Do this as often as you geht back to the original settings. Other settings have for example no voice in dolby atmous sources. Or easier: do a factory reset. Hold Power Button and the Source button for many seconds (5/10 or longer). After that you will see "Factory Reset" on the display and will get back to the original settings
