I found that your tutorial was the only one that I could get to work with my StarSence Hand controller. All the magic happens when you hold down the Celestron + Menu buttons at the same time. Many thanks for taking the time to make this video!

I guess nothing would happen but as you know software is the integral part of system good and efficient software will be better to work with and with new updates celestron adds the bugfixes and new features. you can view the change logs on your update to see what changed. When I download the CFM zip, I extract it and click cfm and all it does is seems to open like a zip again and i see no programme to update, I have java on my machine so am a bit confused. have you any recommendations please?

if that happens you have to write a bash script to run the java file. please follow the code in the description to write the script and save the file. and then run the file by double click. I hope this helps. please stay tuned to my channel for my future videos.

This only updates the controller firmware? And not the motor control firmware?

the motor itself cannot work without controller so there is no as such motor firmware controller is the brain of this equipment hence only controller firmware exists. I hope this helps. please stay tuned to my channel for my future videos

hello I updated exactly what you said now my HC says"Application Int" and is struck. did all reattachments and poweroff and on doesnt work ? pls advise

Its possible that you need to factory reset the controller. Please power down the whole system and then press zero on your hand controller while holding the button turn on the power this will factory reset your system. I hope this helps. Please stay tuned to my channel for my future videos

Did everything you suggested and when i open run.bat a small window like yours open but closes very quickly and does not open CFM.. any suggestions?

Did you install java on your system if not please install java on your system and try again

Thank you. As usual the Celestron instructions are not at all helpful. After multiple failed attempts while following the Celestron & CFM instructions step by step, I got frustrated and found your video. I was then able to easily update my firmware for my new mount, controller and StarSense camera on the first attempt after watching your video. Next time, I will start here instead.
