if you have a 2014-2022 silverado you need to keep your navigation system updated. in this video I show you the easiest way to update the navigation system in your Silverado
They teased me with a deal for a $100 upgrade for my '15 Silverado. I fell for it, it didn't change a thing! My wife's Grand Cherokee nav is light years ahead of GM.
We just moved to Florida and a bunch of the roads show up on the map. I have to use my phone to find my house,in fact. Seems like they could just buy Googles maps from them
@@ImInFloridaBeaches I don't remember any changing in the maps I did two different downloads one was the 2019 navigation system map update and the 2022 navigation system update I believe that was on my 2017 Silverado and my 2020 Silverado I now have a 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 6.2L.
I hope you see this, I have a quick question, I have a 2015 LTZ Duramax. Last time I updated my nav it was a DVD. does your truck use either or is it just USB? I can't find the disc anymore chev discontinued 2014 - 2020.
I’m having a difficult time getting an update for my 2014 GMC. Is it possible to use that update on two different vehicles? If so would you be interested in selling yours?
When you order you have ti give them your vin number and somehow or another its supposed to be vehicle specific. That said, idk if you want the update. The GPS in the truck is missing so many road in florida its not even funny. Im not sure where you live but using google maps is my go to
These trucks have WiFi on them. You’d think you’d just connect to the WiFi and it would update automatically. Just a way for them to get more money from you.
I bought this for my 2022 Silverado LTD even though I don't use it. Google maps is way better. I got it because I'm kinda OCD and can't stand not having the latest updates. Same with Sirius XM. I hardly use it but I have to have it available. I also have a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe and their map updates are free for 3 years. Guess I'm pretty dumb!! 😁😁
GM will stick you for every nickle and dime BS they can. Use your phone and Google Maps or on iPhone can use Apple Maps or Waze. For my 07 Vette they wanted nearly $200 for the CD/Nav disc. On my GMC 2017 truck, Refuse to pay them a nickle when so many other options are there and *Free* on your phone.
I made the mistake of purchasing the so-called navigation upgrade for my 2020 Silverado. Nothing changed. It still shows an incorrect speed limit for most of the roads in my county. It still has not ever given me a warning about heavy traffic. And it still shows roads as going through that are dead end.
Sorry, but IMHO it's a ripoff at $100. You can buy a complete GARMIN unit with lifetime updates for that price.... and GM thinks they can ask $100??? Scheesh. I have a 2015 GMC Canyon and won't be "updating" even though it needs it, unless the price comes down to like $30.
God damn just bought a 2015 Sierra Denali and already out about $5k in maintenance. GPS don’t work, could be the antenna. When idle car rumbles like your on a boat. This update is $100 or could be the satellite antenna. Duck these American junk!
