Thanks for a nicely done straight forward how to video. It is amazing how many other videos I see on the Autels on RU-vid where the reviewer's did not update the unit first. They just rip open the package and hooked it up to their vehicle.
It does connected at my AL519 but it tells in the top of the setup window (Both the program file and DTC file must be updated before rebooting of the device. Otherwise, the device cannot work properly. ) and when i press the update button it gives me beep sound also PCToolkit2(File format error!) 😢
Don't see firmware and updates. Do see firmware and downloads. Going to that page only offers me a users manual. Software update pack is not found. I was able to get the maxi software tool from the Google page that led me to autel updates.
I have the AL319 and an error occured when I was updating it on my PC and now it's saying "Authorization Language Not Matching!". To fix this, you unplug the device powering it off, then hold the ENTER/EXIT button while you plug it back in and it will forcibly enter program mode and you can try updating it again. Hope this helps anyone that also had this issue.
You say if my tool isn’t listed to select “this video”. But there is nothing to select. I am trying to set up and do the initial program file and DTC file for anew al539. Can you point me in the right direction? My problem is that when I go into update mode there are no files to select.
www.autel.com/download.jhtml Select the icon that says MaxiLink II, It shows that the updates for the AL539 are there. Otherwise I would recommend contacting the support team. I didn't see any other updates on the site.
@@FlashPerformance thanks . However, there are no files when I hit ‘select files’. I did contact support after I left my question for you. They agreed there was nothing there on their end either. They said something about the files being removed for some reason but that the units being shipped out were supposed to now be updated before they were shipped. However, I pointed out that, as is, there was a lot of missing functionality . When connected to my vehicle it just can’t do several things that it is supposed to do. They are supposed to get back to me next week and hopefully will be able to find some necessary files and email them to me. Guess we will see. Thanks for taking the time to get back to me.
Hello . I downloaded the program Maxi Link v1.06 on my computer. (windows 7) Set the diagnostic tool via usb on my computer , and i open update mode on AL419. The update finish successfully also the diagnostic tool don't open . Thank you
My TS401 doesn't show my vehicle anymore. I updated it to V5.31 and now my Ford F-150 01/2006-08/20008 (315MHz) option is no longer there. How can I update to an older version?
I haven't been on a computer in ages. So help me out here please. Do I unzip these downloads first? And where is it best to save them to on my computer? I'm lost.
Yes, you will have to unzip them. I use 9 Zip to unpack them. I created a folder on my desktop that says "Updates" I keep the files there. They are easy to find that way.
@@FlashPerformance I meant to also ask another question. I have the AL519 and I'm trying to register my device but when I get to where it wants the serial number and registration password it only shows the serial number. Do you know why that is?
@@debcarrothers2923 I dont think the AL519 has to be registered. However if it does you can go to settings>about and you will see the serial number and password. Contact Autel support @ 855-288-3587 if you need more help. They can assist you with the registration and update process
When trying to do the same with my Auto Link AL419, I download the AL419 Update Pack, but when I want to select the file, I can't find it. Anyone can help?
I don't know what you mean? I don't even have Europe under my settings! I mean my tool will only let me choose up to model years 2015. and no 2016,2017 or 2018.
Sorry I was trying to do it from memory. On the main screen go to Settings>Market>America I just updated to V5.31 and I have 2017 software on most manufacturers.
OK! Thank you, I finally got it figured out. Mine says it is running on V5.41GL. Only thing is when i turn it off and back on it says NOTE aut version is defferent with bin version! Please update in pairs! And yes that is exactly how it is spelled on the screen.
When you download the Maxilink II app it should appear on your desktop. The other 2 files you will not need to open. Just locate them from the MaxiLink II app and install. Autel US support is 855-288-3587 if you need help with the process.

I have the same problem as Vidmis. I did contact Tech support. I was advise to follow this video- step-by-step. This video does not help-if the zip file is invalid/corrupted/ no file at all????
