In this video I show you how easy it is to update the BIOS software for a gigabyte motherboard, the process is pretty much the same for all new boards but with more expensive versions there's a button on the back near the Q FLASH usb port and not at the bottom near the front panel headers like mine. There's a few reasons to do this, one main reason is if you have just built a PC and when turning it on for the first time you just get a blank screen even when plugging your monitor into the motherboard directly and graphics card, this is because the motherboard doesn't recognise the CPU and needs to be updated and this is the problem I had.
During the bios update process, leave it to update it will take a few minutes. Once the BIOS has been updated the PC will beep and restart a few times, this is normal and then the system should be working. My system is running Gigabyte A520M DS3H motherboard and AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU in case anybody else is having issues with the same combination, I hope this video helps you and if you have any questions please let us know below.
