This is a how-to video about changing the stock brakes on a G8 gt to ctsv brakes and new steel braided lines on the front of the car. I will also be installing drilled and slotted rotors in the upgrade. I hope this helps anyone that watches. c=COMMENT BELOW YOUR THOUGHTS

I did this CTSV conversion a few years ago, one of the best mods I have done. Good choice !

Zzp kit comes with all the bolts you need 4 piston ctsv brakes and rotors

Also did you keep the stock wheel studs? cause some of the other videos talk about changing them out to longer ones.

What size rotors are you running? I need to change my rotors because previous owner used smaller rotors and my pads are wearing unevenly, thank you

Did any of y'all doing the CTS brakes having any issues bleeding the brakes afterwards with it having the ABS module? What bleeding method is best to use?

So question... Are the brake lines a must to be repalced with the braided lines or will the stock lines be fine? On a budget and the braided lines are a little much when i only need to do the front CTS-V brake upgrade.

Same question. Because drilling those knuckle holes bigger can be time consuming 🤦🏽‍♂️

I know it is better to upgrade the lines as well but is it possible to use the stock lines mean while?

You will need one for the stock g8 wheels but not for the set you see in the video. The car has camaro wheel of a 2012

So the original GM# 18041878 was superseded to GM# 11570948 there fairly common and fit many applications. You can also find them in a Brake Best brand under #H819 through Oreilly's.
