@dtechwill you can go back in time and make sure that you do system state backups to tape/external/offsite backup then restore the system state on another server with server 2000 on it. let me know if that helps

The Functional level could not be raised, The error is. The FSMO Rules ownership could not be verified because its directory partition has not replicated successfully with last one replication partner, because of this can not raised to windows 2008 from windows 2003, please help for this

I most comment on your training videos, they simple and easy to learn but I tried following your upgrade prep in command prompt but it did not work. It said check to make sure the loged name is a member of the administrator group, enterprise group and schema group. Which I did but it did not work. If I have a virtual lab at at home for practices. Can tell me how to go about it?

hi, our windows 2000 server motherboard (a very old one) crashed recently. We still have the hard drive which work well and still has the server OS installed with all active directory settings and other shares. We got a brand new server and want to install this old hard drive onto it so that we can contiune to function. I know from experience that whenever a motherboard environment is changed, the old drive will not boot into windows. Instead, onscreen errors will be presented. what can we do?

Execute this command in command prompt "gpupdate /force". It'll refresh group policy.

if i upgrade 2003 server to 2008 r2 server than, have my data safe? plz ans
