How to Upload Your Photos To iCloud - iPhone Beginners Guide 

I have just bought 50GB of cloud storage. I have turned cloud photos on and ticked the same boxes as you but the photos are not uploading to the cloud? Any help would be great, thanks.

I just upgraded to 50gb to backup and store my photos on iCloud I did the backup but when I went to iPhone storage I saw that my iCloud photos are stuck at 1% does that mean my photos are not backing up and also my photos take 24gb of storage while the iCloud storage says I only used 15 what does that mean

i already new this information. the icloud photos switch at 1:58 was already turned on for me. yet my photos still arent backed up.

Hi, I had a question, are we allowed to choose specific photos and videos to put into iCloud or do we just have to put them all?

If after you guy upgrade your storage and the photo not uploading, just got to iPhone storage in general and it will show you the upload progress. It work for me. Solved 👍

Question, I've been doing this since high school, butttt I am wondering how can i up plows them faster my house wifi, isn't the best so I turned to turn it off I have some I pay 2.99 each month so I ain't worried about that but when I turn on I cloud, I'm always on my data and it works but it's slow. I bought 200 GB of storage and it’s not even being put to use. My photos won’t transfer to the iCloud and it’s really stressful cause I need the storage. Does this only work on certain phones or something? Like newer iPhones?

What about videos? I tried to save my videos all at once and some of them say error and it’s hard to get some of them to load up. Do I go to files and hit iCloud and wait for them to download how long will that take & what if I exit the app?

@Shayway Tech so wait, if you’re syncing all of your devices into iCloud Photo store, do you really need the photo stream? I think you touched on it briefly in your video but to me it seems redundant to have both?

life is hard as a windows user. I just connected my phone via cable with the computer. saved me a monthly fee and I transfered over 16 GB within 15 min. Life is so much better now. I accidently turned off the auto transfer to my cloud (limited to 5GB). After that, I couldn't reactivate that option as I had too many files on my phone. The only offer seemed to be the purchase of a monthly fee to increase my icloud storage.. sry apple.. you won't get my money that easy after I already spent as much as I would have for a used car... !!! now that my storage is cleared I can finally activate the automatic transfer to the icloud..

Thanks for the video. It helped. But at the same time, I had downloaded some pictures on my iPad and I just wanted to transfer them to my iMac... and it led to frustration, and I couldn't find them in my Photos Library, because it doesn't show up in finder, and I tried copying them and made a new folder in my Downloads folder, but couldn't do it... searched in RU-vid for advice... In desperation I tried to just drag and drop them from my Import folder. That did it, but in the meantime the pictures had multiplied, so instead of 11 pictures there were now suddenly 29 pictures... Way to go Apple of being "user-friendly". I also gave up trying to put my work place in Apple Maps, which was easy on Android. And look at the Settings menu in Apple devices: A trillion different settings options! It's a mess.

hello i hope you’re having a nice day. i’d really appreciate if you would gimme an answer on this. my phone storage ran out months ago and i couldn’t upgrade my plan. so i just left it there and all my photos and videos suddenly disappeared. then i realised its in my icloud. i couldn’t update my phone to ios 14 because my phone had no storage left. so i upgraded my plan today and backed my phone up. but the old videos and photos are still there. so i went in icloud. com to upload the photos and videos but i only had the option to upload photos but no videos. + when i checked it icloud. com my recent videos and pictures were not uploaded. i really want them to be safe in my icloud so that i can delete the pictures and videos off my phone so that i can update my phone to ios 14. also my optimise iphone storage option was always turned on. but unfortunately i don’t have the “upload to my photo stream option” i guess it’s a new update thing lol. but imma plug in my phone and try to wait until tmr and see if my photos and videos are backed up! and i also have a question! if my photos and videos are backed up in icloud, me deleting it from my phone will not delete it from the icloud account right ?

I’m pretty late but I backed up my phone it took 2 days, are my photos in the iCloud ? If I update it, it won’t delete them? I bought more storage. I’m wondering because my photos say that they are uploading but I already backed up my phone? Do I wait? Or can I update it!

Hi. Can you help me? I want to enable my iCloud Photos but once I click it, it says here that 'Photos and Videos Synced from iTunes will be removed. ' What does it mean? Do I still need to enable it or I'll just keep it disabled?

The problem I have, is that all my pics are saved in ICloud. Yet in my storage it still shows that I have 20G used on photos

I tried to follow along, and pretty much did, but maybe its the new IOS since you made the video, but my screens did not look like yours. Made it confusing but I could work around it. What I really wanted to know was if you could choose only the photos you wanted to send to iCloud or not? Or once you click the button are you committed to sending them all?

Does it sync immediately to the icloud ? I can´t see it on my computer syncing at all

The confusing part is that you cannot pick which photos you want to upload to icloud. its all or nothing.

Thank u for your helpful info. I’m not okay to upgrade extra iCloud storage so my iCloud storage is “free 5gb”. I want to move some of my photos to iCloud cuz my phone storage is almost full. But when I move photos to iCloud, it shows “more iCloud storage needed” cuz size of ALL photos is more than 5Gb. So I want to move just SOME photos NOT ALL photos. How can I do? Please help me solve.

what happens if i click “iCloud Photos” and turn it off, 2 options pop up, “remove from iPhone” and “Download Photos & Videos” which option do I chose if I would like to keep the photos on my icloud but off my phone ?!

Please someone help! Okay so I’ve already had my iPhone synced with my photos and iCloud and such. The thing is, it still doesn’t save certain photos and videos for some odd reason. I’ve recently went on a road trip and had WAYYY more photos and videos of the drive. Somehow certain photos/videos at random points in time during the trip didn’t save to the my iPhone.
