Как по мне, видео хорошее. Тут два важных момента. 1) То, что клинья нужно не просто подложить изнутри, и пришить, а пришивать снаружи, подогнув края. (Для не шьюших - это не очевидно) 2) То, что коинья все-равно будут видны. Выделение ярким цветом, и добавление еще элементов этого цвета, поможет выдать это за дизайн самих джинс.

One would think so, but some of us are odd sized. My waist is 31" and my hips are 35". My legs and hips wear a size 4/5 and my waist wears a 6/7...if not 8/9 depending on the brand. So jeans either fit my waist or my hips and legs, never at the same time. Thank you menopause 😂

It works in reverse too. Remove the pockets, release the band above each pocket and cut the band in the center. Turn the pants inside out and fold them at the center of the old pocket outline. Sew a dart from the bottom of the pocket to 1/4 of the desired width loss. Do the same at the other pocket. Iron down the darts. Fold the bands outside to outside and sew them together at the same width as the darts. Sew the band ends together then fold the ends under the corresponding side. Resew the band to the pants. By not removing the excess material you can resize the pants and just repair the bands
*PRESS YOUR SEAMS OPEN PEOPLE* thats the single biggest difference between an amateur and a professional - sew it - press it - put something cold on it to set it.
OR....You could just wet the waistband and stretch it on a hanger for a few days.🤷🏽♀️....If that doesn't work, just put them away until they fit or donate them so someone else can enjoy them.

Your videos are great and easy to follow. It occurs to me is the problem is I need a new sewing machine that is suitable for heavy fabrics and doesn't stall and jam every time I try to do a sewing project.

А вот это всё враки про 8 см!! Раздвижка получается на 6 см, потому что основной ткани с двух сторон забираем по 2см на ширину шва. С каждой стороны надо раздвигать на 6 см, или делать ширину шва 0,5 Это частая ошибка начинающих портних
@@didymma It blunts them really quickly. Fabric shears have a different sharpening angle on the blades that makes them very delicate - like hairdressing scissors. Plus they are very expensive - my 13" ones were £90 secondhand and them £30 for sharpening - paper scissors are £3
You have a lot of energy! Thank you for this inspiring video. I would have used denim pieces instead of gold, but your yellow was perfect for this demonstration.
Also, although the sewing job was very skillful, the yellow gauzy fabric made it look too much of a home economics project. With all that work, why not just use denim?
I wouldn't label this a sewing trick...more like hard work. Donate to charity and buy some that fit or move the button closer right near to the edge. They will button and zip up.
Клинышки под карманами -хорошая идея, но пояс на,мой взгляд, лучше было бы подпороть между клиньями , кусочек из изнаночной стороны вставить в середину лицевой части, предварительно разрезав его посередине, ну а изнанку надставить из ткани клиньев. И карманы тоже просто старые пристрочить без канта.
I love this but I would donate these and get a "new" pair that fits me better at a thrift store for probably around $7. I haven't bought brand new jeans in years.
Cool idea for the person who's a seamstress...😂 but for the person who can't sew to save their lives, mine as well either lose weight or go buy new jeans.
Проще распороть центральный шов, разрезать пояс и по центру сделать один клин из подходящей джинсы по цвету, а в пояс вставить красивую резинку цветную или полосатую. Отстрочить шов нитками для отстрочки джинс или подходящими по цвету отстрочки обычной толщины нитками, но в два слоя. Получается интересно и резинка дает дополнительное растяжение. Я так часто расшиваю джинсы. И желтые полосы на попе, которые видно за тридевять зелень в глаза не бросаются.
Цвет тут каждый для себя выбирает. Никто же не заставляет выбирать жёлтый. Можно в цвет джинсов подобрать, либо на пару оттенков светлее. Клин посередине, на мой взгляд, - уродство. Как будто присел и джинсы лопнули
@@И.Рома не чушь! Прежде чем обесценивать чужую работу, возьмите в привычку думать. Я поделился своим опытом и уже так переделывала несколько раз. Все нормально село, ничего не топорщилось. Не на все фигуры подойдет такой вариант.
Забавно и остроумно. Можно было с поясом меньше заморачиваться и расширить за счет вставки из джинсовой ткани: подпороть пояс и разрезать посредине. Будет меньше швов. А так- интересно. Впервые вижу такое решение!) Успехов!
Are you kidding??? Even if “upsized” with denim this looks weird and way too much work for a pair of mid level priced pants. As comments have suggested a person can 1: lose weight 2: donate pants and just buy a larger size 3: If you can’t afford new jeans then go to the shop where you donated your pants and purchase another pair in your proper size at discount pricing.
One of the more ridiculous things I've seen. These are blue jeans we're talking about here, not a tuxedo or wedding gown..but blue jeans. It's not that serious. And the final product didn't even look good. Your favorite blue jeans have this yellow pattern all over now
I can't sew at all. Just a whip stitch to hem pants. Fascinating but I don't like the yellow fabric. Couldn't elastic somehow be sewn into the waist band? Seems more stylish than yellow fabric. Still great demo😊
