this is brilliant, at first I thought you merely added another waistband, which was already a great I dea as I have two highwaisted ppl to sew for and I was curious to see how you attached them but this is also REALLY cool, THANK you for sharing
It’s hard to find jeans that fit at the waist or narrowest part of waist area. Why? Pants feel best when they fit at the waist not some arbitrary trendy fashion ‘waist.’ Many of you may have never worn jeans that fit at the narrowest part of your waist area. They are more comfortable!
Thanks for a very useful video, the only thing I would do differently, is to put the belt loops on the highest part of the waistband, so the belt is also in the new right place? Best way I've seen so far of making a higher waist!

Кусачками строительными.Перекусить ножку надо.По другому ни как.Все равно ставить новую,старую не получится.Я пришиваю металлические пуговицы на ножке.
@@user-nj9iw9hb1e no translation option.... thanks for responding. I had to cut it out and place small squares of fabric under the interfacing. I fixed 3 pairs and they turned out PERFECT.
I’d have to really love a pair of jeans to go to that much trouble but then again I’m the sort that instead of hemming I just cut them off where I want them.
@@vtxnana i agree but a straight waist band wont fit into the waist as shown higher up. Its a straight band tbats fits on the hips ones waist normaly is smaller.
That's difficult for some. Jeans fit me, except in the waist, and create a muffin top. This would address that. If I get jeans to fit waist, then they are too big everywhere else.
