Thanks for the tutorial. It’s beautiful. If you have video of how you’re achieving such perfect borders around your pieces, I’d love to watch. Thanks again!
Well I just subscribed because I like what you do with the napkin application idea and I just watched your crackle method which I really like! Thank you for these videos, will look forward to seeing more of what you do. 🙂
Really beautiful. I never thought to add crushed pastels with my mica powders. Great idea! I imagine my unused eye shadows and blush would work too. Oh! The possibilities! TFS!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Denver Elisha Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I love this technique! I have used this two step crackle medium on some of my painted pieces but I love it on the decoupage piece! Thank you for sharing!
This heart looks so beautiful, and you're right, the 2 - step crackle glaze does give it a real porcelain look. I've been practising your water transfer method with napkins and I love it. It definitely gets easier with time! When you get the hang of it, it's fun to do. Thanks, love from Amanda in Australia.:-)
Just discovered your channel, and I love these gifts you’ve made. Thanks for the thorough explanation with tips for good crackle effects. I’ve been nervous to try this, but I think I’ll give it a go now!
Very pretty. Love how this looks. I used crackle medium years ago. Need to get some and make some pretty pieces. New subbie to your channel. Glad you came up on my feed.
This is so beautiful! I have never done something like this before, but I have done napkin art, so I definitely want to try this! I also loved your "wet" napkin application so I will be trying that also. Thank you!!😊
Thanks for this video. Very helpful. (One suggestion: when showing the products to the camera, perhaps keep your hands still as moving them around so much makes it difficult to see/read the labels to know what you're using.) 😊😊
Here in the states Deco Art mades 1 one step crackle. You put it on a painted surface let it dry and apply a complementing color on top. The top coat crackles and you see the bottom color through the cracks. Then varnish.
Thank you thank you so much for your clear precise explanations. I bought these the bundle of crackling paint. However, I was waiting for two days for the type one layer to dry. No until you explain that the layer remained sticky I could understand the process. I thought I was the same as the cracking glace which I had to wait until it was perfectly dry.
That is adorable. I love working with crackle. I use a different one but you can see it on my latest resin geode video, my first geode painting turned out beautiful.
Love it! Looks like an old delft blue tile! What's the brand of the metallic pigments, please? Great tip for the varnish too! Thank you and Happy New year!
great, thanks for taking the time to record this, love the look of the crackle effect , gives your pieces an old world look. Can I ask how many coasters you'd get out of the 1 litre bottle, just wondering which is better value, thanks so much 😊
oo 1 litre bottle will give you quite a bit, difficult to say as I bought this crackle like 5 years ago when I first started decoupaging and then didn't use it for 3 years + I used it on many different projects so it's really hard to tell. all I can say is that I got way more out of my little bottles then I thought I would!
Your work is so beautiful. I am going to try the crackle glazing. Can you tell me what the pigment is that you are using and where in the uk I can purchase it please. Thank you
I absolutely LOVE this crackle look! Your ornament is just GORGEOUS!! I've looked everywhere and can't find your recommended crackle medium...can you provide a link? Thank you for sharing your gift🌻
Can I please ask , l bought some 5 ml foam board and I want to paint it with acrylic paint but it does seem rather glossy ,would I be able to lightly sand it , to do you have a better option that would work . Many thanks for your fabulous tutorials . X
Brilliant tutorial. Can’t seem to find the two step glaze here in the UK. Just wondering if Cosmic Shimmer Craquelure Glaze might work the same. Thanks.
Thank you for the video...enjoyed it very much! Comment and question please - after applying the pigment, you wipe off the access. This leaves a thin layer on top of the entire project. It's not so noticeable on the bluebird napkin project, but very apparent on this heart ornament that has so much white. Can you simply use a damp (with water or other product) cloth to clean the project of the access surface pigment without disturbing the crackle pigment areas? Once again, thank you. DJ
you defnitely can on pieces that wont get used as much so for something that's just gonna hang and look pretty you can definitely just mod podge, but for somthing that's gonna be used more I'd recommend varnish
What a great video! Now I understand how crackle works and how you made my beautiful bird plaque that you showed in the corner. I didn't think that you rambled at all in the beginning; it was useful info. Have you ever done crackle in a shade of the one on the object you are working on? Like doing a light blue on that heart, or would that even work. I love your hearts. You are truly an artist. (That's great that the pastels are still useful to you.)
Thank you so much lovely, I had to show your plaque off it’s too nice 😄🥰 I haven’t thought about that’s kind of shading to be fair, great idea 😄 see I need you in my life! 🙌💐
I have just watched this video. I am working on a project and would love to use crackle on my decoupage paper like this. Will this effect work with Pentart crackle medium? I am not sure what kind you are using on this. The crackle medium I have is classical crackle medium not fine line. I cannot find the Daily Art crackle medium. Have you ever found it again?
Very nice creation. I would like to see how you crackle medium size picture. I have one that is about 8 by 10 that I would like to give a very old antique art look. Hope that is don't that you would do a video.
We're can I purchase the Dailey Art Crackle mediums in the USA. I found in inEurope but won't ship.I loved your video on crackle. I,m a professional violinmaker and use the technique on my antique copies. Thank you for your help. Agustino Napoli On
Ps...Love the jar tip...easier than lifting metal lid on varnish. Wilko waterbased varnish....oooh, I'll have to try that - cheaper than Polycrylic...! x

I fell into a RU-vid rabbit hole and came across your channel and i love your work! Can you tell me where you’re based and where to buy the materials you use? Really want to give this a try!! Thank you :)
Oh thank you so much! I’m based in Norwich U.K. ☺️ I buy materials in so many places! Hobbycraft, my local shops for paint, some varnishes, fillers etc. I buy a lot of stuff online, aggiescraftshop.co.uk pramodagifts.co.uk eBay, Amazon, the works! Reallly anywhere I can find supplies 😄
Dainty Gifts Hey! Thanks for coming back to me. Actually the more of your vids I watched the more links to stuff that you use I found so shouldn’t have bothered you 🙈but still had to say how great your stuff is and also you’ve just made my lockdown much more interesting 😂. Keep up the AMAZING work you talented lady you! X
Thank you. I have never done this. Looks awesome. 💖 If you are doing the coasters, what do you use so that they can have a hot cup of tea or coffee on them, without melting the varnish?
Hello, there is a video on my channel now showing how I make my coasters as well, but to answer in short - Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish, it is water based but also heat and water resistant so I just apply 3-4 coats to each side ☺️
@@IvetaZiedina Thank you! Yes, I watched your video on making coasters already. I actually do a different kind of art and I have been trying to find a varnish that could be used on coasters, with no luck so far. I have searched and it seems that I can get this varnish in Australia. So thank you heaps 💕💕💕 I love what you are doing too 💖💖💖
