Question why is my cover sits a little high creating a 1/2- 3/4 inch gap and leaves get into the pool is there a way to lower the cover closer to the concrete?

The 1/4” bolts keep snapping before the anchors come out of the concrete. What do I do?

Where do they keep breaking? Maybe they are too tight? Before we can answer we need a bit more info. Thanks!

@@Eztestpools when i tighten the nut down on the washers the bolts snap where the nut is. The device worked on a couple but the rest I cannot get to release from the concrete.

@@sebagolakesaccounting5571 the threaded rod in the video is 5/16 for the demonstration. 1/4 rod may be too weak. You can try drilling this out and retapping with the next size up. 1/4, to 5/16 or 3/8ths if that is easier to get ahold of. Then use the corresponding size rod to the larger diameter hole you made with a focus on tapping the pipe that is the vertical tube as that will shock the anchor out better then relying solely on the nut and rod since the threads you made are in to a brass anchor. I just used this technique last Thursday when I set 2 3/8ths steel drop in type anchors (different purpose then pools but same idea) and it absoutley worked to pull those out.

@@sebagolakesaccounting5571 You most likely stripped either the nut or the threaded rod at that particular spot. Local hardware store should have replacement threaded rod or nuts. I believe that its 5/16 in. -18 thread pitch. Thanks for watching!
