This is uniquely fabulous content. Not just because I literally had no idea what I was doing and desperately needed this information, but because the presentation is 100% pure virgin cold pressed interwebs gold. This should have millions of views.
I'm almost 50 years old and have never been taught before. Thank you so much for making this video. I found it very helpful and can't wait to start charcoal grilling!
Thanks bro. I watched this video 3 times and did a practice run and it works. I'm grilling in front of my friends tomorrow and I don't wana look like an idiot. Thanks man!
I will be hosting cookout for Memorial Day, and wanted to do the grilling, myself. It will be my first time doing so, so I'm quite confident after watching this video. Yes, I'm a Super Woman, and enjoy teaching myself to do many things! (RU-vid University Alumni) 😉😊
Thanks for making this video. I didn't have a dad growing up and now, i'm too busy with "life" to learn these things form my step dad so I RU-vid the things I want to learn. Thanks again for your detailed video
Thank you for such a clear explanation! I bought a nice grill last summer and just tried to wing it on getting it going and had a lot of frustration as a result. I watched several youtube explanations today and feel much more confident. This one was especially helpful as it put it details for dummies that some of the others left out. THANK YOU for this great video!
My sister and I have relied on manly men to grill our meat our entire lives. Your video was exceptional and ensured we never need to rely on a man for grilled meat again. Thank u! 💪🏻👍🏻😄
Thanks a bunch for this video. Just got a charcoal grill for Christmas and am doing research on how to use it. This was clear and easy to understand. Can't wait to try this out myself!
Very clear instructions. Thanks for the how to video. Don't mind what all the haters are saying, they're just sad they aren't even capable of making a video like yours.
I am a 50 year old man, and your vid taught me something I had never learned before. It was quite a good method for lighting, though I used paper under the pyramid instead of lighter fluid. Thank you for the video.
Dude put ads on your video! Obviously you have helped a lot of people, might as well get a little bit of pay (like a few dollars per month, but hey that's enough to buy charcoal at least!).
First mistake I made was not evenly distributing my coals. Haha! I just dumped them in there, set them on fire, and threw the steaks on. The steaks were still pretty good, just half of them were well done and the other half was medium done. I'm excited to grill again this weekend now that I know what to do.
omg you made grilling with charcol simple for me! thanks so much! i know what to do and what not to do! Thank you so much! I hope our family grilling is perfect! :)
I am a 20 year old college student who loves to grill with lump charcoal in the spring and summer on the side. I watch this video in 2012 when I got my first grill which is a weber smoky joe charcoal grill and I did the same method when I got started. A year later I got rid of the smoky joe and got a weber one touch gold as my late Christmas present which I don't mind. I stop using lighter fluid and bought a charcoal starter chimney. The one touch gold last me 7 years and right now I finally bought myself a weber master touch deep ocean blue kettle grill. Right now I have been using a charcoal starter chimney and hardwood lump charcoal for 7 years now and I love it more when I first started. I cook from basic hot dogs and burgers to steaks, ribs and pork roast. I know my comments can be so long but I wanted to share my experience from being rookie to a backyard master. If you can learn more about charcoal grilling and barbecuing the more knowledge you are going to have and potentially becoming your own backyard master.
Thank you, you have really made it this easy to understand. Grilling was such a mystery to me and I always left it up to the guys. I feel more confident now to try it myself!
Great video!! Additional note: It's easier to clean, scrape or brush the grill while the grates are still hot (after grilling). We've done this for years. Makes the grill ready to go when grilling the next time.
Thank you this was my first time grilling, and was not sure how to prepare it but after seeing your video I feel motivated. You explain everything clear and very detailed this really helped me alot. Happy Memorial Day....
I'm about to BBQ for the first time today. I'm sick but I'm going to do it for my kiddos. Wish me luck. By the way thanks for your video. It's very helpful.
Thanks so much for this video. I got it on my first try 😃. I have the same exact grill. I was surprised by guests coincidentally and everyone was pleased with the food that was all cooked well👍
Good video young buck. Keep up the good work. I've only ever used gas myself but this was more than enough tips to feel comfortable with charcoal. Thanks dude.
Not sure if u have gotten rude comments but if so u dont deserve it. This is a good tutorial for begginers like me and i thank u so much for posting this
I haven't done this in years but knew how. My issue was that after I lit the coals in a pyramid got that nice fire for a couple minutes it would go out even though there was no wind. Wondered if it was maybe bad Charcoal as it was in the bag since last season. I even drowned it in lighter fluid on the 3rd and forth lighting, most of the coals started turning gray but I never got the red glow on more than one or two. It got hot enough to warm some steaks and one burger but took forever. Think it's the coals?
Gladiator1972 you can let those coals cook and add fresh coals after the first glow, it is VERY hard to start a grill, especially on a day with family when you are trying to have fun! Or you can use charcoal starters that light with a lighter for hookahs, those work too. What do you use?
