I recently got my own drum carder and wanted to double check I knew how to use it and found this video. Thank you for such a straightforward, easy to follow and informative video!
What a great tutor! What a great tutorial! Now I know where I have been going wrong! Makes me wonder why none of my spinning colleagues have enlightened me, maybe they don't know the correct use of a drum carder either! Thank you, Jill Shepherd! 🥰
Can you be my teacher for everything?!😆 Your tutorial is the best for visual learners, sequential learners, and "Why, What, and Huh?" learners. I understood everything and you explain things and make to not leave your viewer(s) having the need to ask "rabbit-hole" questions.
Thank you for an informative video! I just purchased a drum carder and although it has instructions, it is easier to understand when seeing someone actually using it!
Thank you so much Jill. You are a wonderful teacher. I would suggest for future presentations to ask you camera person to go in closer for the finer details.
Where do I find a table like this one for my drum carder - have a 12" Ashford. Am in a small flat and it would be perfect. Am in Australia. And excellent instructions, thank you. 😁
Porcupine quill, not the doffing pin, to pick out waste from the carding drum: The OTHER reason you want to do that, is the porcupine quill won't bend any of the pins on the drum!
