When stopping the vacuum seal for the moisture as you say, will it still be airtight? Also, can’t the moist setting just be used from the beginning so that you don’t have to stop it?
This happened to me too but I realized the bag was not laying flat enough in the sealer so it couldn't pull a stong enough vacuum to allow it to switch over to the seal function. A bag on one of my first attempts actually had a very small fold which wouldn't allow a full vacuum to be attained. The bags will lay flatter if you have a little extra length on the bag. I also put a cutting board under the front of the unit, which raised it up, and seemed to better align the bags. Putting too much food in a bag or having too short a bag just won't allow the bags to lay flat enough in the unit to get a good enough vacuum draw. Hope this helps....
Just got mine, I'm still learning. However, mine is not suctioning as much as I want it to. It's not air tight. And do I have to put the top of the bag in the green drip tray before I hit vacuum?
Yes, you'll want to put the top of the bag in the drip tray that way I'll catch any liquids that might be sucked out of the bag. Is it your personally sized bags that aren't sealing? I sometimes I have trouble getting absolutely all the air out of the zip-top ones, I do the best I can and it usually pulls out enough air that I'm good with it.
I just got mine too and really like it bWere you able to get the hand held nozzle cord to go back in all the way? Mine is just wagging along side the unit now. Loved your video. Thanks
When I sucked the air out, I was doing my bumper crop of tomatoes. But a lot of juice got pulled out even though it was on "moist". So what do you do to stop that?
Pulse mode give you more control on much suction you want a certain foods. Or do what she did hit the seal button when you want to stop the machine from pulling anymore juice
