I've only been doing iron on for a few months and this helped me a lot. One thing I never knew is that when doing layers, you just tack them til the last one! What a relief because although I try protecting each layer from the heat of my cricut easy press, it gets worrisome. You're pretty funny to watch, too. I love your bright, cheerful way.
I had a cricut easy press too! I just switched over to a cameo 3 from a cricut maker because it has a vinyl roll attachment where it feeds the vinyl into the machine and you can cut basically an unlimited length including the printable vinyl/laminate! I upgraded to an real heat press because i'll be doing larger projects now and I got it for almost the same exact price of the easy press. It's15"x15" with a screen where you can adjust the temp and timer, adjustable pressure knob on top. It came with the attachments to press mugs, plates, hats, bags, mouse pads, and a few others but I don't remember. I love how much time it saves me. 15 seconds (normally depending) and the entire thing is done and it swings away on its own so it is out of the way once the timer goes off. I definitely recommend upgrading, it is such a HUGE time saver and I've noticed that the shirts hold the HTV much better than they did with the easy press. I wish I knew that the cost is about the same but I was new to all of this back then.

If I am doing vinyl shirts but want to adventure to other types of shirts. Maybe sublimation… I have the the cricut 12x12 what cheaper end heat press do you recommend for both vinyl and other materials for t-shirt?
Hi I have the Fancierstudio clamshell and when trying to let the press heat up it beeps every 15 seconds. Is there a way to get it up to heat without the beeping? Thanks Tammie

I personally used Bella and Canvas shirts from Jiffyshirts.com before I got my resale license. Most people use Gilden brand shirts but they feel so cheap and rough to me. Bella and Canvas is known for the softness of their shirts and the fit is awesome. I have had multiple customers who have ordered shirts tell me that they are only coming to me from now on because my shirts are so soft and fit so well compared to other sellers. Get a reseller license so you can buy direct from the manufacturer for less than a dollar each and no tax once you have a good amount of orders that justify ordering in bulk.

I just bought a Cricut Maker and would love to know which heat press to buy. Entry level. May lose interest in a couple of years? Just need to fully use my new toy (the Maker).
Soooooo lol idk if u can POSSIBLY help buttt I bought a new heat press from ebay...I guess it's so cheap lol that I can't evn find a dang brand on it anywhere! Lolol but I'm STRUGGLING w/ how to work the daang timer/temperature thing?!?! Ugh.. the tiny instructions were no help,theres NOTHING online I can find but 2 videos maybe I've also emailed the sellers but they were NO help!! You can, but you have no idea how hot the iron is, and different htv's require different heat. Example: if you have ht vinyl that needs 285 degrees for 15 seconds, and your iron is 350 degrees, it will ruin your vinyl. Second, htv requires the correct heat, pressure, and even heat distribution. A regular iron will work for small areas, but does just a poor to mediocre job in general, as well as taking 5 times longer.
