My dad was an electrician. He had a punch set similar to that but the largest punch was about 1 1/4" if I remember correctly. It was operated with wrenches rather than a hydraulic ram. It amazes me how easy these things will cut a hole in sheet metal.

Yeah, electricians use them for the knock out hole. I think a manual/wrench version would be very cool to have.
