I was surprised as I saw the teapot you used. Its the exact same one I got und I love it. Just out of interest, how much did you pay for it? Mine was 100€ or 117 $. Edit: And is there a reason you chose that exact teapot? I enyojed its weigth, wall thickness and finishing. And what kinds of green tea do you think suit that teapot best?

I just want to say, you did an excellent job on this video. Even though everything you said, I already knew because I’ve been learning for a while now, but I still think that it was an awesome video and especially if I were a newbie, it would really come in handy. I just wanted to commend you and give you a Pat on the back. Thanks again for doing a bang up job my friend. Keep up the good work. 👍👍

Thanks for the video! I have one quick question : How do you wash it (just hot water?) and is there any trick to maintain it in good condition? :) Have a great day!

exo791 I will do a video about it how to wash and maintain it. On a normal day I just wash the Kyusu with warer, warm water. But there are techniques to clean it. Will come next week then 😊🙏🍵

Is there concern from lead and cadmium? I heard even if they use materials with no lead or cadmium, use of furnaces that had previously been used to fire pottery with lead and cadmium materials can contaminate new pottery with dangerous levels

Great video. Is the interior of your pot glazed or unglazed?
@Nioteas
@Nioteas 4 года назад
NayNay2015 its an unglazed Kyusu - I am a big fan of unglazed black Kyusu as they smoothen the taste of tea quite a bit thanks to the minerals in the clay. 🍵

@@Nioteas last question ;;) If I brew the infusion 🍵 today , can I leave the 🍃 leafs 24 hours inside my kyusu until the second brewing??
@Nioteas

I would not recommend this! The leaves will go bad overnight

So is this tea sweet ? Can I use a light Chinese tea instead of Japanese tea ?
@Nioteas
@Nioteas Год назад
If you want a sweet tea I would recommend going for a Kabusecha sencha: nioteas.com/collections/kabuse-sencha these teas are shaded for 10+ days to remove a lot of their bitterness but unlike Gyokuro they don't go into this strong savory direction

you can rinse it with water or use baking soda overnight for a deeper clean
