Pad printing is a plastic transfer technique, primarily used for decorating surfaces.
The pad printer can print on any surface, but it is most often used to print on flat surfaces like plastic cups.
Pad printing can be done with or without print plates. With print plates, the image is transferred from the plate to the product through an inked pad that is pressed against it. Without plates, ink is transferred to the product through a stamping process called direct imaging.
The plateless method lets you create unique designs without having to invest in expensive equipment and machinery. Pad printers are used primarily for short production runs of small orders because of their low cost and ease of use.
