How do you engrave a 20 oz tumbler on the VLS 3.5 desktop? Like a YETI brand 20 oz tumbler, the tumbler has a cone shape and it higher towards the lip vs the base.
The laser has some margin for engraving outside of the exact focal length, it's referred to as depth of focus. If you're using a 2.0 lens you should be fine, 3.0 would be better because it has a larger depth of focus but I've used the 2.0 to engrave objects with a slight slope and it worked just fine. For the yeti tumbler just make sure to focus the laser on the middle of the tumbler, that way as it hits spots higher and lower it's staying as close to that focal length as possible.
