The funny thing is, I used to modify furniture and do interior design years ago. Today I bought a brand new screwdriver to start fixing up my own place.. and it really shows how much we forget when I had to search for this video.

The first bit was too small for that screw. That's why it ruined the head. I suck at identifying wood but I believe that's just regular pine. If you have the right size bit and apply enough force on the screw it should go in fine. On hardwood you'll likely have to pre-drill. The second phillips bit used in this video looked like the right size for the screws you were using at that time.

I had purchased Bosch drilling machine complete kit, which includes drilling bits, screw bits, hammer ,tape etc etc. But whenever I use screw bits , The bits always get damaged while screwing. My question is, are the bits of low quality or I am using the bits incorrectly. Please answer. I have damaged almost all the screw bits.
