Thanks, Marie! I really appreciate you sharing how to use the Silhouette Cameo with the Pix Scan mat. I bought one because you had demonstrated another time before you got your Brother Scan and Cut. I would like seeing you demonstrate on pattern paper. It’s good to know it works well with the original Silhouette which I have. Thanks, again!

Thanks so much for watching this video, I really appreciate it. The PixScan mat is so cool, and it definitely works with the original Silhouette Cameo. I still have it too, and it still works incredibly well! I love these machines.

OMG I can't thank you enough for this video. I am new to this machine and I have a very bad dislike of it as since day 1 it has given me nothing but misery!!!! So far so good on getting the image scanned in if you follow your instructions to the letter, it works!!! : ) Now hopefully getting the cut lines will do the same or plug your ears as I will be screaming so loud you'll hear me down under! lol

I have a tip for you. Amazon has air hockey replacement tools dirt cheap. I bought these to use to rub my stamps down instead of my fingers which sometimes does not always pick up all the image. This gives you and all over even cover.

With the Scan n Cut you don’t have to use a pencil to join the words. Just add an offset then weld all the separate offsets. Enjoyed your video. 😊

Thank you for watching and leaving this great tip! I will give it a go! I always thought you needed the Brother Workspace software to do that, but I will try this on the machine itself. Thank you again for your great tip as it would make it so much more versatile for me. :-)

Just found your video and it is so helpful. I have silhouette cameo and have watched many videos on how to use the pic scan mat to cut out stamped images and yours was the easiest to understand. I would love to see you do a video on cutting out pattern papers. Thanks for sharing.

Your scan technique is awesome and given my Portrait 1 with its PixScan mat a new life. I bought mine in 2016 and was not as successful. I was looking at upgrading to the Brother Cut n Scan or a Cameo 4. I decided to upgrade the Silhouette Studio software to the latest Basic version, reuse my PixScan and review numerous videos. I tried the smartphone calibration and photo but the resolution was not sharp enough, consequently the cut lines would have required laborious editing. Coincidentally I used my monochrome Brother laser printer/scanner and it was able to perform the PixScan scan. I selected 200 dpi for the resolution. Do you recommend a higher resolution for detailed 1:48 scale paper aircraft? Thank you for the advice and excellent video.

Your comment made my day! Thank you for your awesome feedback. I really appreciate it. I'm so pleased that you found this helpful! The higher the resolution, the better the outcome, so definitely give it a go. I struggled with the PixScan mat but I've had the most success with the scanner. Never doing the photo thing again, it was a nightmare. Thanks again for your feedback, I really appreciate it. 🙂

@@poppycitrus I've gone a few steps farther since my initial response. I upgraded the initial scan resolution to 600 dpi to match the detail on my subject. Recently I scanned the detailed image, while on the PixScan mat to create a PNG file. I can then OPEN that file in STUDIO and use the cut calibration file for multiple variations but the outline is identical. The size is kept original as the mat, so I have my input file printed at STAPLES. I can load any identical PNG image, position it then MERGE the calibration .studio3 file. I've also upgrade to the Business edition of STUDIO so I can export the file in .SVG format. I potentially wish to use this process to have my image cut on a CriCut or other cutters. Thanks again for the great inspiration.
