Thank you so much! I just bought the standard skate tool and i had no idea what 2 of the 3 tools on it were for. This helped me out a bunch 🤙 Cool video dude
I like the video. I myself, choose to have a tool box in my car full of things. I have a UNIT T Tool and of course the best skate tool ever made; the Silver skate tool. But I like to have extra bearings, shields, wheels, grip tape, shield remover, bearing cleaner, extra pair of lavender Nora Vasconcellos chino pants, etc. I really like the Silver tool though, if I had to go all in one it would be that tool.
Hello!! Unfortunately, I have not tried this tool out on roller skates. My guess is that parts of this tool WOULD work, but I am not 100% sure that every part of the tool would work correctly. Sorry!
Im very sorry for the skateshops next to me but I hate talking to people so I’m going to buy it from amazon.. (the others mostly need over a week for delivering)
Stupid question maybe, but is there a difference between Y tools and T tools beyond the shape? I've seen both and they seem to have the same things otherwise, but I'm not sure.
No questions are stupid here! 😄 There is not really a huge difference between a Y-tool and a T-Tool. Some may argue that it is easier to turn and use one or the other. However, other than personal preference, there really isn't any major difference. 👍
Yes, of course! In my other videos I have not recommended buying Skateboard equipment off Amazon for a couple of reasons. 1.). In most cases the Skateboard items sold on Amazon are cheap brands. (That's not ALWAYS the case, but it is often). 2.). It is important to support independent skate shops, so you should always try to buy from a real skate shop before going to Amazon.
Thanks for the response. I was curious if you ever had any problems with fake skate stuff from Amazon. Recently I have heard about fake bones bearings, spitfire wheels, etc
Are there any alternatives to the skate tool ? I'm kinda new to skating and I dont have anything to fix my barrings and my parents don't really buy stuff online (we don't have any skate shops near me)
Yes, you can use an allen key, a screwdriver, and a wrench. It is just easier to bring a skate tool around rather than carrying those 3 tools with you when you go skating! Hope that helps!
Not all skate tools are T-tools, they are just the basic ones. 3 washers on each wheel will remove any need for threading tool, especially if used in 2-1 configuration.
Ooooh so that circular metal part with the cylinders in the + shape is to re-thread stuff! I was dying to know what it was but was having trouble looking it up since I didn't know how to describe it to a search engine. Thanks for the info!🤙
I honestly do not know. It doesn't have a brand on it and I got it when I was like 10 years old. Sorry! It's a generic one though. You can find similar ones on pretty much any skate shop website.
