Hey Mechelle! Yes. The sublimation process is very very smelly and candidly a bit unhealthy. I personally ventilate my space, and use a ceiling fan. AND I often leave the room until the timer goes off. I'm a bit of a nut about my lungs. Running daily is hard enough without damaged lungs. 😂 As for time, I go with 120 seconds and then turn and go again, so four minutes total. Thanks so much for watching and happy crafting!
researching now. i dont have this brand of press, however im watching videos on glass cans. im terrified of latching it down and it shaterring. like i know it has to be snug but im so scared. lol love your teachings.
Hey Julie! I've sublimated tons of glass and never had one break. If it really bothers you, start with the sleeve looser and then tighten once the glass is in place. You''ll be fine! 😀 💕 Happy sublimating and thanks for watching!
Hey Lucy! I have a video that shares how to use Canva, a free app, to work with your sublimation designs. This one is specifically about phone cases, but it works the same. Hope this helps and happy sublimating!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZvvPu9Tfd58.html 💕
Hey! You can adjust the small dials, but often times I have to do two presses depending on the girth of my blank. Thanks so much for crafting with me and hope to see you in the next one! 🩷
Hi there! I use silicone wraps when I'm filling dead space. PYD makes some great ones and yes they're available on Amazon. But I always use parchment directly on the sheet so if there is any ink transferred I can throw it away. 😀 Thanks so much for watching and crafting with me!
i stumbled upon your video and was glad that i did!! i have the PYD Life Tumbler Press v3.0 and so far have pressed one frosted beer can tumbler to my satisfaction. thank you for taking the time to show how you created your design in Canva, which i have been struggling to understand, navigate, and create anything in!!
I love your new Tumbler press! I see it’s by PYD Life, I buy a lot of their sublimation mason jar mugs. I’ve purchased ones with and without a handle and I use them in my Cricut mug press. As a matter of fact it was after watching one of your videos that I purchased those and gave that a try and those are a lot of fun to do. I am intrigued by the Tumbler press, May have to add that to my wish list. Although I have three Cricut mug presses does that make me a mug press hoarder?! 😜If you’re wondering why I have three I do a lot of mugs production style for different people and companies and if one is good three has to be better right? I’ve seen the Sublimation jars that you used today with the bamboo lid they look really cool and fun to do. I think my favorite was the one with the pumpkins and happy Halloween banner! Love me some pink! I didn’t see that Tumbler press on Prime day. I sure wish I had of it would’ve been pretty tempting I think. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next, your ideas are always so amazing! It would be really fun to be able to exchange pictures of some of our projects that we’ve done with you not sure how that would work exactly on RU-vid but maybe emailing to you if that’s a possibility. I have some of the sublimation mason jars that I did after watching your video. I’d love for you to see, they turned out so cute. I remember you did a couple that were for teacher gifts that were just simply adorable. I honestly do as many of those sublimation mason jars as I do sublimation mugs. Would’ve never known they existed had I not watched your video! Until next time Kim, looking forward to the next fun video! 😊😊❤️❤️PS How is your garden doing?
Hey Sheila! Wow three mug presses! 😊💕 I can barely keep up with making with one. This press has a mug sleeve. And a ton of other sleeves, but a bit pricier than the mug press. And I would LOVE to see some of your creations. I'm not sure how we would except maybe Instagram. Although I'm honestly not very active. I need to get back on there I guess. 😂 So glad you loved the pink glass and that you were inspired by one of my other videos. That makes me so happy!!! Blessings!
hi- i have a question about the tension on the machine, how do you know how tight to adjust the knobs without worrying a bout breaking the glass or bending any metal sublimation tumbler? i always worry the glass will snap from the pressure of the closure and heat. thanks
Hi there! I worried a bit about glass in the beginning, but honestly just make it snug, not super tight. As long as there is no space between the glass and the paper, it will transfer. Thanks for crafting with me! 🩷
So sorry Thomas 😂 I have to say I'm truly happy I got it. I'll be making glass sets for all the things. And Tumblers. But I'm really smitten with the glass. I'm loving the bamboo lids! Thanks so much for watching and happy crafting!! 💕
Hey Leticia! PYD has attachments, but not any specific for a beer glass. I've seen cone shaped ones from other brands. Were you not able to just tighten one side of the press more to get a tight enough fit? Here's the PYD offering: amzn.to/3IfLRLY Thanks for watching and I hope you find your answer!
This press has multiple attachments and can do all the things from tumblers to mugs to wine glasses and more (with the right attachment). Thanks for crafting with me and happy sublimating!
The great news about vinyl is that it will stick to all tumblers so you can choose any that you like and you don't have to pay for a sublimation coating. 😊💕
Hey Phil! Mine goes up to 3.4" but they may have a larger sleeve that can handle a larger diameter. My mason jars are 3: in diameter, but I've not worked with anything larger. Thanks for watching and I hope you get the answers you need!
