For those of you getting "Oops something when wrong" first off, just try again. I had that message and just tried again and it worked. If it keeps happening.... Are you running windows 10? or something lower? You should try installing on a different machine. The problem may be with your Windows install. How long have you had that machine? When was the last time you did a clean install of Windows? Software issues don't occur in a vacuum. Always check your own setup before going too deep with troubleshooting. Having said that, You might as well try a clean install at this point. But be aware, you will need to re-add all of your accounts! You will be starting from scratch! make sure you note all of the cryptocurrency accounts you have, so you will not forget! I can't be held responsible for any lost crypto!!! I'm just a dude with a computer. These instructions are for the latest version of Windows 10! Make sure you have your 24 word recovery phrase!!!! (precaution, we will not be resetting the Ledger Nano device... but stuff happens) If you don't have your 24 word recovery phrase, DON'T DO THIS !!! 1. Un-install Ledger Live in Windows 2. Make sure C:\Program files->Ledger Live folder is gone 3. Go to C:\Users\"YourName"\AppData\Roaming\Ledger Live and delete the folder 4. If you don't see the AppData folder, do this: cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/ 5. delete all copies of the installer in your download folder (optional) 6. Re-download Ledger Live 2.0 (optional) 7 Run the Ledger Live 2.0 installer 8 When you get to the welcome screen, choose "I have an initialized device" VERY IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT INITIALIZE YOUR LEDGER DEVICE!!!! 9. Add accounts for bitcoin. follow instructions 10 Add accounts for any other cryptocurrency you have stored on the Ledger device. Great video Have you ever had any trouble syncing dgb on ledger live ? I haven't had access to my dgb in over a year now .Maybe this update might actually fix this problem

Ihave somme questions: 1.can u send multiple transactions to the same receiver adress generated by the nano x ? 2.in the transaction section for the bitcoin lower at "last operations" if you click one of the operations there is a "status" section..this "status" shows a number next to it that is constantly increasing...why isit increasing and what s the meaning of that number? thank you
Really grateful for all the info you give us as has made it so much easier to understand the whole wallet. I am having trouble displaying the value of my assets on my Nano S. It shows the number but not the dollar value. I have the latest update 2.17.1 installed. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Rex, great to see the improved useability of the Manager in Nano X. However, I just upgraded to ledger Live 2.0 and now I cannot use my Nano X. Ledger live 2.0 simply will NOT sync. Nor can my Nano X connect to Ledger Live anymore. I've followed the help guidelines, including the 'Repair' function, but no success. Even the 'bootloader' won't work as prescribed. After filing yet another support ticket with Ledger, I am told that it can take up to 10 business days to get a response. Simply a horrendous support situation. Rex, might you be willing to address such issues either here or perhaps in a "Ledger troubleshooting" video? Thank you

If I have a ledger and I transfer all of my crypto to it. Do I still get the gains when the market is up, or do I need my crypto in a trading app in order to receive the gains on that money? If this question makes sense. If not. I’ll rephrase. My crypto in coinbase increases in value when the market is up. Will it do the same in my ledger live/wallet. I don’t trade I just buy and hold. After using the Ellipal exclusively, it's awesome. Best part for me is all you need is your phone and if I lost it someone cant just plug it in their computer and that would make me nervous. the trezor and ledger just seem over complicated and I have no desire to try them out. Does anyone know if the Ellipal is getting more popular or is the price holding it back? Thanks.

Hey Crypto Dad, thanks for the great videos. I withdraw bitcoins from my exchange account into my Ledger Nano X wallet. I had added two different accounts for bitcoin one the new version called native segwit and the other for the legacy segwit. I put the bitcoins accidentally to the wrong account. I wanted to have my bitcoins in the new native segwit account. Can I move it over to the other account using Ledger Live?

Rex. Is there any reason why I would need a coin base exchange account if I decided to open up crypto.com wallet on my phone? Are the transfer fees on crypto.com better than coin base? I just want to simplify my crypto life and not have so many different accounts and wallets
NEWBIE QUESTION - After transferring crypto assets to Nano X, upon opening Ledger Live I see the assets still listed. I supposed that once these assets were transferred to the hard wallet, they would disappear from ledger live. Am I looking at the actual blockchain, or only a copy of these accounts stored on my computer? In Ledger LIve under Settings/Help is "Reset Ledger Live." Is it best practice to remove these computer files? How do I confirm these assets are indeed on the Nano X? Thanks for help!
I didn't really know the advantages to having the nano x over the nano s so I purchased the nano s and during setup I got stuck on the part where I have to do the genuine check. I tried a new cord using a different port and everything I could possibly think of even after taking it to my local computer guy we cannot figure it out. I ended up using a friend's computer and it worked just fine on his computer. Have you heard of this happening? And if so what is the issue. I would spend the extra money and just buy a nano x if I could manage my crypto using my cell phone.
Hi. I am trying to send some Nexo tokens from my nano ledger via the Ledger Live app. When I go to transfer the Nexo tokens in Ledger Live its telling me that " ETH balance in parent account has insufficient for network fees" What does this mean and how do I complete my transfer?
Hi Rex, I just started using my Ledger Nano X after 2-3 months. When I plugged in the ledger on ledger live it had me update the firmware. All my apps where uninstalled, so I had to reinstall them all. Did I lose my crypto's I had stored on the ledger? I can still see my account balances on ledger live. Just wondering if uninstalling/reinstalling the apps caused me the lose my cryptos.
I have a question about this. Let's say you have a erc20 token that you want to keep in the device. But there isint a app for that on the device. But you still secure the coin in the device via mycrypto.com or myetherwallet..my question is..does the device still reflect a coin balance or show you the coin wallet on the ledger live?
Rex! Love your videos thanks for helping us all. I have a question for you. I have ADA on my Nano Ledger X and have the Daedalus wallet on my desktop where I have access to the tokens. My iMac is getting fixed and worried it might not be able to turn on. I do NOT have the 12 word sees phrase (lesson learned) but do have the password to get into the wallet. If I were to get a new computer and download the Daedalus wallet am I just able to sign into Daedalus to have access to my ADA or do I need the seed phrase? Because the tokens are on the Ledger right? Sorry I couldn't find anything on the internet on this so you're my last resort!

Hi Justin, I hate to say this, but the Daedalus wallet and the ledger nano X are mutually exclusive. If you’re holding Cardano on a ledger nano X, you would be using Adalite.io or Yoroi to access your balances. If you have Cardano in Daedalus wallet it is NOT on your Ledger Nano X. So you must’ve got confused and ended up putting your Cardano in Daedalus and not on your ledger. Or you maybe have two different wallets. I’m not sure. However the short answer to your question is, if you buy a new computer and install Daedalus on that, it would have an empty wallet. Make sure you write down the recovery phrase of that new empty wallet. If you still have access to the other Daedalus wallet by virtue of that password that you have not lost, Then simply transfer the balance from the old wallet into the new Wallet.
Is there a way to make the usb ledger device not go on standby mode when its inactive after some time? so i dont have to type down the password 100 times a day?
CD... Thank you for your vids. I saw a previous video u did that showed a work around with renaming the account names (ie: Bitcoin John and Bitcoin Mary). Does the 2.0 update give a better option for doing this? With the workaround you showed before, I can't pull up a balance for the ledger that has Bob's crypto on it, but instead, i can only see a summary of a protifolo (ledger) with Bob and Mary combined. Am I missing something or can this now be done without having to use two different computer or two profiles in order to make it clear that these are two different accounts using two different ledgers. I get it and know what to d myself, but all is lost if a surviving spouse can't figure it all out. Cheers

Hi Rex. Thank you very much for your work. I tried to update Ledger Live and it did not work well so i uninstalled and then tried to install from ledger.com downloaded the file but when i try to open it i get the message that "the app you're trying to install isn't a Microsoft-verified app". It does not give me option to install it anyway. The only options i've got here is "Get apps from store" and "change my app recommendation setting". Have you got any idea what should i do in this situation. Thanks much again.
Hey, I wonder if anyone has had this problem While I was using my device the Ledger logo was flashing. I unplugged the device and it seems to have reset itself. When I turned it on it said 'welcome' rather than asking me for my pin. I restored configuration and set up a new pin, using my pass phrases I will able to connect to the ledger live. However I am unable to send or receive coins. I have updated the latest firmware but I am still not able to send or receive coins, as the connection has failed. Any ideas?
Hi Rex, I got a problem with the download already.After the update as I had version 1:20: Oops we have a problem message and a restart button , restarted , logged back in , I went to accounts as you did on the video , but the synchronizing wheel just kept spinning. So I logged out and went back to my desktop and clicked on Ledger Live icon and it won't load up. So I went to the website and downloaded 2.00 and it also says there's a problem to restart Ledger Live and they have a restart button. Restart and it's the same and Sychronizing wheel just keeps spinning.I also deleted the original download and restarted my computer but the same results.Screen says Oops something went wrong.You may try again by restarting ledger live.Please export your logs and contact ledger support if the problem persists.Then we have 4 blue buttons .Restart,Save,Contact Support,GitHub and one red button Reset.Under that Internal Process Error and some lines. And finally under that.it says redux failed: Cannot read property 'store' of null and some more lines. What !!!!!!!!!!! I restarted again and logged in and it's still the same . Logged out and tryed the desktop icon again and it won't load. Help Please and Thank you.

@@samthefarmman2993 Yes, I've reverted back to version 1.2 just fine and now can access my account. I did a clean install by deleting the 2.0 ver and deleting the hidden LedgerLive file as described by one of Rex's videos. I"ll try the 2.0 once Ledger corrects the bug/glitch preventing some operating systems from working.

damn ledger is shit so much back and forth, update apps, oh you want to receive $1 bitcoin? Go get your ledger, sync with pc, unlock .... Jesus christ so glad I bought a trezor
I click the update and it's trying to sync but just getting the spinning wheel of death next to synchronize and none of the apps are updated I went to help it said unplug and try bootloader did that and I just see bootloader on device NANO S and neither top button will do anyting
Ledger Servers may be busy right now. Before going crazy, maybe try again in off hours. Or you could try just downloading the standalone installer from their website and running the upgrade that way
@@CryptoDad , Ledger Live 2.0 has very real issues they are having difficulty resolving but working on it. Many of us are now stuck with a version of 2.0 that does not work.
@@SpecialtyGolfProducts Sorry to hear that Jim. You might want to check my pinned comment at the top. Also, when they first release updates, their servers get overloaded. This affects the functionality of Ledger Live (updates, genuine checks, etc) hopefully when things calm down, these issues will resolve themselves. Waiting a day or so may resolve your issue...hopefully. I feel your pain.
