U a lifesaver, if u using a studio 24c make sure when ur picking the mic input/output setting in the fl studio audio settings u pick "Studio USB ASIO Driver"
Didnt people used to record legendary albums on shitty dell home PCs in the early 2000s with less than a gig of ram? Why cant my $1500 powerhouse computer record my damn guitar direct input without delay?
Hi, im having a problem and I couldnt find the solution to it. I know how to record but I have a new computer and now when I select the mic, it records all audio from my computer. For example, the audio from the master track or audio from youtube videos records even when I don´t have the mic connected; so it makes no sense. Its like it records all of my computer audio plus the mic, so basically I cant record anything. If I am listening to the beat while recording, the beat is also recorded. Do you know what may be causing this problem? Thanks
When you record a channel in mono, everything starts out in the center. You have to use tools like panning and recording layers to help create the depth that you are talking about.
Thank you for the information! I know this is a bit late, but I have a question. When I raise the volume knob on my interface and play songs in FL Studio, the sound gets clearer without distortion. However, I'm not sure how to match this with the DAW's volume. I have to keep the interface volume knob halfway for the default PC volume. I tried using a limiter or compressor to make the track louder, but it only distorts. Is there any way to sync the interface volume with the DAW to get a nice loud track when it renders?
No, you can get some pretty affordable headphone and mics to get up and running, and then upgrade later if you find that you like it. You could try borrowing equipment from a friend to see what you think
Great tutorial this was so helpful, thank you. I have one issue though when i record my audio only plays back from one ear, is there a way to fix that please
Is there a way i can switch from my headphones to my monitors when mixing and mastering and when recording instead of going through the hassle of turning my monitors off and on? Photos are provided of the setup
Hey I have a question, what do I do when the audio is being picked up, recording, etc. but when I play it, I can not hear the actual audio being recorded. Would I have to buy an adapter in order to hear it through a speaker?
Sometimes there is a mix knob on your interface that let's you listen to the computer or what you are recording. Make sure you are set to listen to what is coming from the computer.
Can I connect my Bluetooth headphones to the audio box somehow? I use Reaper for the voiceover and having an issue with one that I use with the jack. Now, I have the only option Bluetooth JBL :(
Hey! I recently bought Rode AI-1 with NT1 mic. I can hear myself through headphones connected to the interface with zero latency, but I can"t record in fl studio. There isn't any Rode AI-1 driver on the list (there is only line rode ai-1, but its does not work at all). I tried to dowland it from the official website, but it does still not working. Im not sure what to do and i was wondering if You would know how to fix that?
Thanks for the tutorial dude... I have a problem, hope you can help: Im using Studio USB ASIO Driver (as someone recommended on the comments for the 24c) but i don't hear myself or anything inside fl studio. I must clear out that channels are mixed correctly it does detect voice, pick up recordings and also matches the universal control app/software. On the Mixer, bottom right has a *Main Out L Main Out R selected only on the _Master Track_, but the rest has none, only selected the one on the top as it is to record (In my case Input 1) Any thoughts?
I literally can't even get my mic or PreSonus to setup with FL Studio... Stuck on step 1 :/. When I go to "audio settings" in FL studio it doesn't even give me the option to sink my mic despite the fact that the mic is plugged into the PreSonus, and that is plugged into my computer. I don't get it
Hey man, thank you so much for the tutorial. I have an issue with my fl studio or something but with the presonus asio driver selected, if I try to open a huge project it freezes. Even if a project successfully loads, I'm not able to play it all and if it starts playing, there's a lot of crackle sound in the audio. My laptop is pretty high-end and when I use FL Studio ASIO, it plays seamlessly. Is there something I'm missing? My buffer size is already set to 2048.
I’m looking for someone that will show the viewer what the room sounds like while they are playing and recording. I’m a old man who knows nothing about this stuff any help would be appreciated
