How to use an electric blanket safely 

Thank you for the video! Also your video is more important than you realize. Many places in Canada, Europe, US etc having energy problems, high utility costs and problems. This means they are turning to electric blankets. Also electric blankets are the CHEAPEST power usage heat of anything, often 50 to 70 watts. Space heaters and other devices don't even come close on terms of cheap power cost. Space heaters start at typically at least 300 watts and even then cannot keep a room warm by comparison. So this means many people can benefit by your effort to help people.

You said not to fold it but most come prefolded. Especially the ones that Ovo / SSE are giving out.

An electrian would just laugh in my face

My problem is rooms today come with ONE socket. So, what does he mean it should be alone in the socket? We have phones to charge and stuff. The average bedroom these days use an extension cord which you can use to plug in multiple things.

Can you use them in the bath?

It probably uses 100W or less. Perfectly safe to use any outlet that is not overloaded.

where did you find an electric blanket that draws 13amps at 220Volts? Try 60watts to 120watts, or 0.5amps at 220volts

I have a double bed with both sides of electric blanket that heat up and have switches on each side but the side i sleep on, the cord is damaged. Can i flip the electric blanket over to the working side? the cord is at my feet. If i flip it will the heating element still work? hope this makes sense

They draw Less than an amp. you could safely plug 10 into the same socket and you won't overload it.

Sure most would be ok with a small 3amp fuse they really don't use that much more electric than the old light bulbs.
