@@mjshaheed it is not advisable to tighten the screw with the impact driver, because it is not a torque wrench. If the striking force is beyond the torque limit of that screw either it would strip off the thread or its head(over torquing). But in case of loosening the screw, there is no such limitation. So the conclusion is it can be used but it have the limitation of uncontrollable torque.
You can use it however you choose. Tightening removing LH thread, RH thread it doesnt matter. Sure the user needs to use his brain whenever using any tool.

I bought CIC impact driver last week I want ask what is the difference in 5/16 inch and 1/4 inch driver... can I use a 1/4 inch hex bit on the Cic 5/16 inch hex adaptor??
I wish I had seen this video..i was struggling with a bolt and finay had to give the job to a shop to do. the shop of course gave me full charge 😠...but i had no choice. Like many i thought this tool only for screws. but it has 1/2inch for socket...very versatile tool to have...worth buying the heavy duty one...about 800rupees I think....almost 1kg weight.
I picked an impact driver from Goodyear, but the tool seems too hard to use. Any clues ? It just won't budge tight fasteners like your tool in the video.
I have one, but sadly, the taps have sheered. Otherwise, the driver does it’s job. Buy some higher quality taps if you get the chance. You might need them.
