I had leftover rolls of mesh from Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Joanne's and Craft Outlet that I demonstrated cutting and sealing the edges with the impulse sealer.

The impulse worked great on Dollar Tree deco mesh for Easter baskets. It was the only store I could find 6" rainbow/unicorn mesh. My bows look great! 😊

This is really good information on how to cut mesh and seal the ends! May I ask where I could purchase a impulse sealer? Maybe amazon. Thank for sharing!

Van, I have a question..I have watched your 2 videos..one on cutting mesh with your impulse sealer and two cutting mesh with wood burner. Which method do you prefer to do? I have both impulse sealer and wood cutter. I have not tried the wood burner yet..I would love for you to let me know, please... Thank you, Bobbie

Bobbie, I really wanted to love the impulse sealer, but here's my honest opinion. The impulse sealer leaves a lot of strings on the edges, it requires you to stop and clean the melting strip often, and I go through the heat strips way too quickly. Maybe because this machine really wasn't designed for mesh. The wood burner is inexpensive, cuts are clean, no cleaning after several cuts, and no parts to buy. So....the wood burner is better, and much more cost effective. I hope my opinion helps!

I wonder if parchment paper would work? Since we can use it in the oven up to 450 on the good brands; I bet there are even better brands for chefs for their baking pans (I use them on my cookie sheets & when I roast green beans) Thanks for the video & your honest unbiased opinion. I did not try that, I tried wax paper and that didn't work out well.

Does the bag sealer use less fumes than a wood burner

I think it may, but I honestly went back to using the wood burner because the parts had to be replaced on the bag sealer so often.

Have you tryed it on poly burlap?

Yes, it works well. My only issue is it will leave small fibers on the edges. I like the clean cut I get better when I use a wood burner on poly burlap.

All mesh will fray. I find using mesh from an online craft store is much better than most. I get mine from Craft outlet or The Wreath shop. I also wood burn when I am doing ruffles.
