How to: Use an O Ring Material Tester 

The O-Ring Material Tester is a simple testing device that will approximately advise the shore hardness of 4 different materials.
EPDM 70 Shore
NBR 70 Shore
FFKM 75 Shore (Kalrez®)
FKM 75 Shore (Viton)
To use
1. Rotate the tool until the copper block is in the upper position.
2. Place the pen on the O-Ring and then allow the copper block to drop.
3. Then observe the highest point the block bounces to, this will indicate the material.
