Mr. George Hurst is around and kicking. I saw him last weekend (Sat: 8-10-19) He was giving a staining and finishing class at Tandy Global HQ in Ft. Worth.

Every few cuts I strop. I almost never sharpen my tools. Sharpen once and strip forever.

Will definitely do this! For me, I'll drill tiny holes for each piece of lace, at the handle end, feed my lace through and knot on the back, pull those straight, lay onto glue line and tack each with a push pin at the end of the stick, will hold them straight and taught while drying.

Great video and thankfully I believe i still have every edge beveler I've owned since 1967. Sometimes it pays to be a hoarder, hehe.

I've bought many pre-dulled edge bevelers. Maybe they thought they'd do me a favor, hehe.

Take a sharp chisel or razor knife and a straight edge, cut two small v-channels for the round lace so that the lace has something to sit down into on the board. Doesn't have to be very deep, and they can both be the same size channels. Just not too big a channel for the 1mm lace.

So the moral of the story is, if you don't have a rounded edge beveler, it takes all of 10 seconds to sharpen it.
