I had a lot of trouble getting that little brass filter out. It looks like the screw broke off and I basically had no way of unscrewing the rest of the filter. Looks like I’ll need a new inlet plug and filter replacement. Thank you for the video. The rest went great.

I had the same issue. Unscrewing the filter CCW with a flat bladed screwdriver extracted a very short screw, but the filter itself was still inside, and I could not find a way to get it out. The tiny screw went back in readily, so I don't think it was broken. Any ideas how to get the filter body out after the tiny screw is out?

A hidden gem of a channel! Loved this thorough review. Your knowledge is very valuable to the community, so keep making these videos. A lot of young kids today, make reviews and know nothing! I love your garage organization!!! Subscribed. Thank you for not selling out and becoming a corporate infomercial instead of an honest review. This matters to us. Thank you also for not putting any obnoxious music overlay and keeping it simple and natural. This is professional. I would suggest you get a shirt microphone for good audio. Also make sure your indoor lighting is clear for good visuals. These small changes will make your videos more attractive and not look dated and old fashioned. Look at Humble Road van build videos. The guy, George Mauro was a photographer in his previous career. His superb audio and visual quality come down to simple things - a good microphone attached to your shirt, not on camera, and soft lighting indoors that highlight his project. Mic is costly, but lights are cheap.

I will check out the Humble Road folks. Thank you for subcribing and taking the time to share your insight with me.

Hello, I truly thank you for this wonderful video. I do have a question that I hope you can help me with. I just recently purchased the following surface cleaner from e-bay-15" Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner Pressure Washer Extension Scrubber 3200PSI US $36.99. The reason I purchased it was because I own a 2800 PSI gas pressure washer. I always have the hardest time getting it to start so I decided to purchase an electric one. I bought a Craftsman 2100 PSI from Ace Hardware-Craftsman CMEPW2100 2,100 MAX PSI* Electric Cold Water Pressure Washer. I had an old surface cleaner for my gas machine but it will not sin due to the lower PSI of the new electric machine. So I purchased the above surface cleaner that works up to a max of 2200 PSI. So it should work. I used it and the wand did not spin as it should It left circular marks as your video shows. I e-mailed the seller and he recommended I clean out the nozzles. I did as your video showed but have not tried it yet. But after cleaning I sprayed the hose through one of the jets BUT no water came out of the OTHER jet as your video shows. I don't think this has a screen in the middle part? The reason I purchased this surface cleaner is because it is supposed to spin well with this lower PSI machine. My old surface cleaner would not spin with the electric machine because after the fact I realized that the box of that Briggs and Stratton surface cleaner would only work with a MINIMUM of 2400 PSI. So there you have it-- what do you recommend and can you tell me what else I can do to make this e-bay purchased surface cleaner spin properly. It is brand new and only used once for a short while and did not seem to spin well so I stopped using it. Thank you
@deerparkhomeshop2471
@deerparkhomeshop2471 2 месяца назад
Try either forcing water through the quick connect on top of the unit and see if you get water out of both nozzles, or remove the quick connect and try the same thing. You have to remove the quick connect to get to the filter if it has one. If you are still only getting water out of one jet, it most have an obstruction or defect somewhere between the quick connect and the jet. If you are getting swirl marks with just one jet, it has to be passing high pressure water through, so it must be working with your pressure washer.
@montemag
@montemag 2 месяца назад
@@deerparkhomeshop2471 How do I remove the quick connect. I cannot see any place from the bottom of the cleaner. And the top looks like a nut or something but it seems really tight? The pellet said to take off both end nozzles and try shooting water thru it. But those nits or nozzles are quite tight as well? what do you suggest?
@deerparkhomeshop2471
@deerparkhomeshop2471 2 месяца назад

@montemag
@montemag 2 месяца назад
@@deerparkhomeshop2471 I understand and truly appreciate you. But do you think with your knowledge that my 2100 PSI machine is OK for what I am using it for and this surface cleaner SHOULD be OK and do the job as well as long as I get it to work properly? The reason I ask is that suddenly when I shop online I find these much more powerful machines that have 3000 PSI for such low prices as $160? Like the PowRyte Electric Pressure Washer, Foam Cannon, 4 Different Pressure Tips, Power Washer, 3900 PSI 2.4 GPM-- that is ONLY $119.99???????(If you would look this up on the site and let me know your thoughts on this machine- seems really powerful?) Mine is 2100 PSI and this is 3900 PSI with a greater Gallons per minute as well and is $80 less expensive? I have 90 days to return my Craftsman to Ace Hardware?? My thoughts are that I can use the Briggs and Stratton surface cleaner that only works with more powerful machine and thus I would not have to go thru the trouble of trying to fix this other surface cleaner. Am I being overly particular about my needs? I really respect your advice, sir. Thank you and let me know what your thoughts on this would be.

@deerparkhomeshop2471
@deerparkhomeshop2471 2 года назад
So the screw head came out but the filter and threaded bottom part did not? If so, the remainder of the filter can be removed from the bottom. Here is what I tried today and it worked. The filter housing can be removed from the brass swivel with a wrench. I inserted an awl in the bottom of it and it will slip through the hole in the threaded part of the filter. I applied pressure to have it firmly seat against the filter assembly and backed it out. If you over tightened the filter, you may have to tap the awl with a hammer to make it seat tightly. When you reattach the housing to the swivel be sure to use pipe dope or teflon tape or it will leak. Hope this works for you.

Thanks for the video really helpful. My surface cleaner is having a problem, and I wonder if you can prescribe a solution. Water is coming out of the space between the bearing and the nozzle attachment; this is stopping the mechanism from spinning. Tried taking everything apart and cleaning it but no luck. If it is a sleeve bearing like mine, I would suspect that the upper seal on the shaft may be worn out or there may be abnorrnal wear if you've had it a long time. If you grease it the water pressure will just wash the grease out of the bearing.

Remember that this is a consumer model and may not hold up to day in and day out use. However even entry level commercial washers cost a lot more, but if you're planning on using it a few hours a week it should be fine. If your business is a big success, you can buy a higher capacity unit and keep the ryobi for a back up.

The "gun" is usually the trigger activated spray wand, not the surface washer cone that I profiled in the video. Is this what you're asking about. Mine came with the pressure washer. The supply hose has a threaded female coupler that screws on the male threaded end of the gun. I'm thinking what you have must be a little more complicated. Perhaps trying to go quick connect to threaded, or something like that. If that's the case you can buy adapters to make it fit. Search "adapters for pressure washers" on Amazon and they have several pages of different adapters. Be sure to get back with me and let me know how it turns out.

@deerparkhomeshop2471
@deerparkhomeshop2471 Год назад
Well, first I would disconnect it and reconnect the spray nozzle to the press. washer and make sure you are getting enough water pressure to the cleaner. The sleeve bearing may need lubrication or, since you have already cleaned the filter, the nozzle tips could be clogged up. All it takes is a grain or two of sand, or what not, to clog them up. Try removing the spinner and flush it out with your water hose. When you're doing this notice if the water is spraying freely out of the jets.

Why only for gasoline washer? Why would it not work with an electric?

Well, I'm not an engineer so I don't have an educated answer for you. I suspect that the spray nozzle ports may have to be a bit smaller for electric models. It might work for you, but may also be an expensive mistake.

Hey Good morning. Can I use this with the 1800.PS electric Ryobi. I might have bought the wrong pressure washer.

I would have to say no. The 15" size is designed for gas press. washers in the 2400psi and over range. It might work, but it makes more sense to purchase one of the 12" models that are designed for an 1800 psi machine and then you will get good results. I put a link in the video description for one, but there are numerous models on the market Hope this helps!

@@johncipolla8335 You're right. The cone is designed to make short work of big areas. You can just use the wand for small areas.
