Thanks for the video. I have a question. I have a heat lamp and a heat pad under the tank for the hot spot for a ball python we have yet to get. I have it set up and probes in but nether of them are turning on and producing heat. They work without being plugged into the control center but when plugged in.... Nothing. Think I have the settings wrong? They are in plug 1 and 2.

Check the Control Center and make sure the flame icons are turning on to show that they're receiving power. Assuming you do have everything set correctly, there may be an issue with your product. If that's the case, you may want to contact whomever it was purchased from or speak to Zoo Med's customer service.

Hi Eric, thanks for the explanatory video, it's a huge help! But I had a question whether I can use this device in Europe, everything is clear that we have a different model of sockets, but this can be solved, even more information about Fahr.and Cels. can be changed in the settings, but does the device itself accept voltage at 220 volts, maybe on the instructions, or is it indicated on it (110-220v)? Thanks a lot!

@TyeDyedIguana Год назад
The instructions on ours do say to only use with a 120 v outlet in the safety section. You may need to contact Zoo Med to see if they have the product for your market.

Are any of the lighting sockets dimmable to help simulate sunrise and sunset
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana 7 месяцев назад
The dimming sockets allow for day/night temp settings and dim the bulb to match the set temperature. They won't do anything as fancy as adjust lighting to mimic sunrise and sunset.

Check out arcadia lumenize, think you will like that. I been reading all about it as im doing a new setup with my green tree python. Going from 3x2x2 to 4x2x2 and just starting from scratch build.

I just ordered one of these and I’m worried I may regret it ideally I’d like my my heat lamp aka day light to run in the timer as well as the thermostat or dimmmer I suppose I can purchase a seperate timer to run it into and plug that into the heat source obviously I want uvb on day timer as well
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana 2 месяца назад
The device has just regular timers you can put your UVB bulbs onto. The dimmer is a little bit trickier, but it does allow for a day time temp and a night time temp. The night time temp you can try setting so low that the bulb has no choice but to be off.

Thank you I think I got it figured out now I am ordering a govee smart plug to run the heat lamp on a schedule into the heat dimmer socket. I have the socket two cool side set for 75 degrees with nothing plugged in the ambients in my room as I live with an elderly frail lady stay at 80 once everything turns off. I figure 80 is within range and the hot side drops to 81-82 at this time naturally as well that I’ve decided for now to leave it alone unless I hear of any reason that that is too hot at night. I have looked into the repticooler to bring that cold side down at night but my worries is that my humidity appears to range mid 50 to mid 60 and raise to 71 at night without misting or doing anything that the swap cooler design on the repticooler would shoot the humidity too high

I have one of these... had to watch all the way to 9 minutes just to learn what I wanted to know... when do socket 5 and 6 turn off... (they turn each other off-when one turns on the other turns off) I probably have the instructions laying around somewhere... but I didn't want to hunt them down.
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana 9 месяцев назад
Hello! sockets 5 and 6 are alternating day and night timers, only one can be on at a time
@djtanikgotbeatz

Thanks for the straight forward explanation. So just to clarify this system will automatically turn on and off your devices once it goes past its range ?

Are socket 5 and 6 controlled by heat settings? I’m asking for day basking and night dhp bulb
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana Год назад
They are alternating day/night timers only and are not linked to a temperature probe, just the programmed time.

Hello, sorry to hear about your troubles! This sounds like it either isnt receiving enough heat to register a reading, or a potential connection issue. We would recommend contacting zoomed directly for most efficient troubleshooting and or part replacement

How does socket 1 & 2 determine if it is day/night? I've seen complaints pf yhe exoterra thermostat that it uses a light sensoyto determine day/night whoch doesn't work well of you use a basking bulb. Im curious if this one has the same problem.
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana 10 месяцев назад
This doesn't use a light sensor. It does have an internal "clock" that you set to determine your day/night time. I'll drop the link here to the instructions to the product on Zoo Med's page, hopefully that clears it up for you a little! zoomed.com/wp-content/uploads/RT-1000_Instructions_9-17-21.pdf

Is this a good setup for a ball python and a DHP in socket 1

As soon as you plug the device in is it supposed to to automatically work meaning turn on? Am I missing something here ?

You should see it turn on when you plug it in and it will be programmed according to the factory settings.

I just bought this today and I have questions!! So I want my day and night timer to work. For heat light and then at night for my nocturnal light for my ball python. If I use the heating lamp in socket one will it turn off when it gets too hot or will the alarm just go off??
@taylormoore3328
@taylormoore3328 Год назад
So basically what I need it to do is control temps when I’m not home and turn my day lamps off and my night lamps on when needed. Is this possible? And if so how do I do it?
@TyeDyedIguana
@TyeDyedIguana Год назад
Hi! I'm not Eric, but I checked with him on what the solution was to this. I looked over the instructions and there wasn't an obvious way to use both the dimmer outlet and timer outlets - they're separate unfortunately. He did mention that the dimmer function has a day time temp setting and a night time temp setting. He said to set it to your basking temps during the day, and then at night, set it at a temperature so low that the bulb has to shut off. The second socket is where you'd put your night time bulb. Set it to "heat", and then set it for the night time temps you do want. That way if it drops too low at night, it'll kick on. I hope I explained it clearly! I'd test it all to make sure the bulbs actually do what you want them to, but hopefully that workaround helps!

Im a bit lost. I have a uvb light and a ceramic heater. If i want the ceramic heater on all the time and uvb on during day. Am i able to plug both in. Have the uvb turn on and off for day and night while the ceramic heater is controlled for night and day temps?

I am gonna sound stupid but here goes. I will be getting a leopard gecko soon and wanted to use this system. I was thinking of using an Halogen lamp for day time basking and a deep heat projector for night time in case temp falls to low which it will in winter. I will also be using an arcdia uvb light and arcadia led light which will be connected together. My question is this I understand the heating side of it (socket1 and 2) however if I want lights to come on and then go off at set time there is only one plug so how would i get them to turn on and off. see told you I sound stupid

Ok the constant beeping is irritating all I want to run for my Beardie enclosure is my heat light, my uvb light, and my under tank heater………however it won’t stop sending me error messages for humidity. I don’t ever plan on installing a fan or humidifier. Is this just not made for desert animals
@TyeDyedIguana

to mute all alarm sounds, hold the power button and down arrow for 6 seconds. These devices can work without the humidity or dehumidifier option, did you plug anything into the socket, or program what humidity its looking for? It sounds like maybe there was a hiccup with set up

Did you recently purchase the Control Center? You might want to contact whomever it was purchased from to help you troubleshoot it or replace it if necessary. You could also contact Zoo Med to confirm whether or not there's a defect with the product.
