Things I wish Apple Music had: 1. A dedicated button to add songs to your library, something they removed since lyrics was launched. 2. Ability to see singles as a separate item and not them showing up in the albums tab in my library. 3. Cloud control. The ability to control songs on multiple devices from one place by showing them as available devices to play, sometimes Spotify does currently. 4. Ability to swipe the album art or the song info in the minimized view to skip a song or go back to previous track. 5. Ability to see the song writers and producers.
I have been using Spotify since 2015 and the experience is just perfect. I just do not know if I should switch to Apple Music. I want to, but I’m just not 100% sure with leaving Spotify.
Me too been using Spotify for yearsss buy apple just gave me 6 months Apple Music for free and I’m actually loving it especially with the spatial audio on my air pods pro. This feature doesn’t work with Spotify however it does with Apple Music and I actually like it. I’ll decide after the 6 months if I want to go bk to Spotify 🤷🏾♀️
What is the difference between “add to library” and “love this song” on AM? Which one should I favor to improve the algorithm and have better recommendations? Which one matters the most? Are they equal for the algorithm?
I just bought some airpod pro’s 2 and got 3 months free , so I have just added some playlists , I can’t believe the sound quality difference compared to Spotify , it’s amazing how good the sound is , im trying to see if I need to do anything in the app to set my music app up , im a total novice to apple

I'm a little bit confused about my Apple Music... See, my subscription expired 10 days ago and I can still listen to music. Another thing that confuses me is that before it expired, I started paying for iCloud for my Photos and Backup stuff. So, my question is, can you really still use Apple Music just by paying monthly for iCloud and not the Apple Music directly which is, for me, more than twice as expensive as what I pay monthly for my iCloud?

Hi there! I am an Android user, and the Apple music app is available for it. I would like to use it only for my own music library and not streaming. However, when I click on Library tab and then "Try it now" It shows 3 payment plans. At the bottom says "Try It free" on top of that button says "Plan automatically renews monthly". I assuming this is only a trial. Do I have to pay just to use it for my own downloaded songs? Apple is developing the App for Windows and I am using that now. I am using that for my library and very happy with it. I just hope I can use the android phone app version for free too.
Good video (and music taste - I’m going to follow you)! I feel though that AM is made for people who listen to whole albums, not people who pick and choose songs. The experience isn’t as great as Spotify or Deezer, but it looks more polished. Speaking of polish, do you know any alternative AM front ends, Josh? The AM Mac app is an awful experience - skipping songs, search not working. Ugh.
I made a playlist on my Itunes that i want to play in my car but it wont let me “cant be added to your iCloud music library “ this playlist cant be uploaded because it includes other media kinds or songs that are not eligible. Why?
Sorry for the silly question but I am not an apple user and I am finding it very hard to use apple music as opposed to Spotify. I am trying to find upcoming music for a specific artist on this app but I don know where to do this in apple music. I don't see the upcoming music option that you have in the video. Also, I am using the android apple music app. It's really frustrating I am thinking of just sticking with Spotify only. If anyone can give me some step-by-step instructions, I would greatly appreciate it.
They really need a simple like button to add music to your library similar to spotify. the giant menu to add, love, and dislike music is frustrating. If i hear a song i like i want to be able to like it with ease. Especially with there widget and lock screen interface. There widget is terrible, it has no buttons to pause/play its just a fancy shortcut to the app. Also not being able to hit one button to download all your songs at once is also infuriating.
If you download and still you have to be online to listen then it can’t called download, you are actually paying online. I don’t understand how come it called download ?’
I recently discovered that you can add a song to your library if you drag it to the left on your screen. If you drag it to the left the second time it will download to your device. I wish there was a place to find all these cool features without having to discover them by accident.
I want to make my profile but when I go to the icon it’s just a red profile blank icon and it’s supposed to have a tab inside that says see what friends are listening to but it’s not there, how do I fix this ? also I want to change the red name it puts on all my playlists because it has one of my family members name on it instead of mine.
I‘m using Spotify for 6 years now and because I have all devices from Apple, I thought about to move to Apple Music. But idk if it has any benefits over Spotify since Spotify supports 3d Audio and now also Lyrics.
I tell people this all the time. The number 1 feature Apple Music has over Spotify is the ability to ADD YOUR OWN MUSIC! I see Spotify users comment all the time about how such and such song still isn't available for streaming, but if you had Apple Music, you could literally create your own library and use it in addition to the Apple Music catalog. Which also comes in handy for when songs get removed from streaming services. Since it groups everything together, you can literally browse your library and the music catalog together. You can manually add half the songs of an album, save the other half from Apple Music, and then see them all together as a complete album when you're browsing that artist.
Thanks for the video. I have Apple Music and enjoy it very much. My question for you is regarding listening to music offline. What benefit is there to add a song to the library as opposed to downloading the song? Downloading the song takes up storage on the phone but then I can listen to that song any time? I don't understand the process so please explain. Keep up the great work 🤘🏼
You actually can't download it unless it's in your library. So no benefit, it's more of a limitation if that makes sense. But yes, when you download a song you can listen to it without a 4G/5G data connection or being on WiFi. Hope that helps!
I have a question: whenever I step into my car Apple Music will automatically play my audiobook, and no matter how much I pause it or exit the app, the book will start up again. How do I stop this app from auto playing whenever I enter my car and my device connects to Bluetooth

Well if you didn’t have download every song to your device that’s why Spotify trumps this. You add to a list you just make a list without having to take up space on your phone. I have this included in my cell plan but I don’t want to use my free space is there a way to do this?

I like Apple Music but dislike the grayed out songs that Apple claims you didn’t ☑️ the sync box in your devices which I have all checked. Very frustrating

I have a question that maybe you can know and help me to understand. I have an android phone and I downloaded the Apple Music app and signed in using my Apple ID. I also have an iPad that is also using the same Apple ID. Now the question. I do not want to subscribe to Apple Music, instead of that I prefer to buy songs using iTunes app on my iPad. Now I bought a lot of songs but the problem is they are not showing on my android phone. Logically they have to SYNC because on both devices I logged in using the same Apple ID
Hmmm, make sure you have iCloud music enabled so the songs you buy will sync to your android device. That would be my guess why they’re not showing up - Josh
With apple music can I sync only created playlist from my library instead of syncing my whole library to phone (Ultra S23) since my library has about 115gb worth of music

So I just got an iPhone (very first time) and I’m enjoying Apple Music but I have a question about playlists put together by Apple. So these playlists are updated frequently and my question is do some songs get deleted after the updates or do they just add songs and pile them in there?
I'm late to the party, but here's a question: Once I've created a playlist on the phone app, how do I access/edit that playlist from the web app? I have a Library tab on the web app, but it doesn't seem to access anything. I do have the music itself sync'd, so if I add a song or album on one, it appears on the other.
I just can’t get the queue system to work with Apple Music, it’s so frustrating to use. Spotify is so much better in that regard, with Spotify I never had to search for videos or posts on how to use it.
So, I’ve had the SiriusXM app for several years which gives you a Pandora premium account as well. I have several playlists. I’ve been using Apple products since 2014….I’m contemplating dropping Sirius and going with Apple music, and I have Apple car play in my vehicle. But, I just want to stream, not really download music. I don’t want to clutter up my devices. Any advice with this transition? OMG i just wish, they had the simple format where it showed "buy" and you double-clicked and bought the song to do what you want with it. Why does apple have to make everything so difficult now?
It is not working the way it is described here, and I cannot get music or play it. I find Apple super frustrating and am have lost the mood to listen to what I wanted to, so I will go to RU-vid! I am not getting the options to add something to a playlist and name it. So, it is not working and I don't know why.
