Remembering that a brand ambassador/content creator is a paid position. Asking people to work for product isn't going to produce the results that you want in the long run. It takes time to come up with ideas on what to create in a photo or video for someone else's brand. Then execute the idea by taking the photos or filming the video. Edit the content, brainstorm captions & hashtags...it's a beautiful artistic process. Companies! Please appreciate the work that goes into 1 post & pay the creator a fee for their work. Brand collaborations are an amazing side to marketing & promotions.

Ambassadors and influencers is the next step for my newly established brand - I’m building my Instagram page as my primary source of traffic. I have sample products on the way and provided I’m happy with the products , I will begin the next phase of my brand. I think if I approach this part correctly I could really take the brand somewhere.

I LOVE your advice about ambassador. I make pet clothing and I've been thinking in getting an ambassador, but I was unsure about having to create all those discounts codes and have to let someone control my sales. Thanks for your view of an Ambassador I am looking at adding this to my business as I am trying to get some sales coming in. promo code won't work, ambassadors want money or clothes, the promo code days are gone, also sales driven by influencers are minimal, just too many brands promoted out there now. They're good for: Credibility, content and reach. What you offer really needs to be GOOD to be successful

Promo codes are essential to the ambassador program to track how many leads purchased from a certain influencer. Without the promo codes it’s equal to no program at all.

Really got value out of this video just one question for you Rob. Is there a specific amount of ambassadors you should have? Starting off the brand at the beginning stages?

There’s no specific number. Some ambassadors will contribute more than others. If you have 2 or 3 ambassadors that are constantly sending you content - that could be enough for you. However, if they’re only sending you content occasionally, then it might be a good idea to search for more. Try and be as generous as possible at first and get as many people on board as you can afford. The more the merrier.

This works just give ur promo codes to thousands of teenagers that are in middle and high school and just target specific areas and watch u blow up. It also helps if your a public figure yourself already.

I have 8 ambassadors for Dirtyrides mtb apparel. My issue is getting good quality images or at times any content. Even tho they live the brand. We are very successful worldwide but I find I’m doing all, the graft on top of running a global business.

Do you think there's any different strategies for a brand that doesn't put the brand name on the shirts? Would that make it more necessary for the ambassador to promote your website/brand because it's not clear on the shirt design or do you think it wouldn't matter?

I’ve had to good ambassadors and bad ambassadors. The bad ambassadors just want free clothes and don’t bother to take pictures. If they do take pictures, it’s not good quality

Hey ! I want to start a brand but I've heard that profit margins are as low as 10%. That means you make only 4 euro in profit if you sell a t shirt. Is this really the case , because this would mean 1 thousand shirts sold would only be 4k Euro profit, considering all the business running costs and tax of course?

Forget what you've heard and start researching the market and how other successful apparel companies operate. You're asking the wrong question, throwing out some random numbers and the question you pose doesn't really make sense. You need to calculate your business running costs upfront and source quality production every step of the way in that you earn a profit. Yes, it's possible to make a shirt and turn a profit higher than 4 euros but research, read, watch more, you'll learn more!

How can I target my ambassador from a certain socio-economic group. For example, the same people who bought Abercrombie & Finch, North Face, American Eagle Outfitters. These people are drones who but overpriced clothing because of the name that's on it. To be seen wearing it. Those are the people I want as an ambassador for my clothing line.
