I’m going to need to go back and rewatch all of your canva videos. There is so much valuable information! I love the idea of this whiteboard. It’s so versatile and you could do so much. I love that I can use it as a whole group activity or have them each access it on their chromebooks. It’s nice that like Google slides you can control whether or not students have edit access. Another great video as always! I can’t wait for next week!
Aww, thank you so much as always for watching and commenting Valérie! 🥰🖤 I agree... it's so nice when you can find one tool that serves multiple purposes and Canva definitely checks that box! Thank you for your ongoing support and I hope you have a great week ahead! 🎉
Happy weekend, Michelle! I did not know that Canva had all these whiteboard capabilities, but I can think of many ways I would like to use the tool. Students can share responses with each other during small Reading or Math groups. They could house their research and ideas for a project here when they are collaborating as a team. It could be useful for Collaborative Learning Teams for staff members to simultaneously share ideas. The features kind of remind me of Padlet, but I can't remember all the capabilities and how they might compare with Canva. Anyway, thank you for sharing this tool and encouraging us to try it out. Have an amazing rest of your weekend and week ahead! 💜
Happy Monday Mandy... I hope your week is off to a great start! 🥰 Yes! You're exactly right... there are SO many ways that students can collaborate on the whiteboard AND you can use it as a tool from the teacher perspective for whole group, small group, and even within your team. It definitely has some similarities to Padlet but I would say Padlet is closer to a bulletin board whereas Canva is a whiteboard. For example, Padlet has a drawing tool but it will show the drawing in a separate post whereas Canva will allow you to draw right on the board. Thank you as always for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a great rest of your week! 🖤🖤🖤
I love Canva but I’ve never thought of using it as my whiteboard. THANK YOU for this. Love all your videos because even when I think I know it all… You teach me something new 😊
YES! It's fantastic when you can find one tool that has multiple purposes! 🎉 Thank YOU for watching and commenting... I'm so happy you could learn something new! 🥰🖤
Thanks for the video; definitely inspiring. I already briefly set up my online class in my mind. The best part is to assign a whiteboard to each student to work on their own as an assignment. My question is; does this feature still hold if I assign a whiteboard in Google Classroom? Thank you.
Can you embed the whiteboard in to a presentation on Canva? I am hoping to use the whiteboard feature in a staff meeting presentation and have them collaborate in real time during the staff meeting.
Can you sell Canva templates with the pro images ? Or does it prompt the buyer to have to purchase the pro elements if they have free version at the end or download ??
Hi, I'm looking for a substitute for jamboard on google. I am retired and teach on line. I use the jamboard to interact with my students. I need 2 things on a jamboard. 1) I need to be able to use a pen to put up math problems/the student needs to access a pen to complete these problems. 2) I would like to put up matching exercises; category placement exercises; and games: concentration (usually with double sticky notes and connect 4 (use a connect 4 background and sticky notes for playing pieces.) Kids like to play this and I put numbers on the playing pieces : example: the students play a piece and the student has to tell me if the number on the piece is even or odd. I basically need a 'tool belt' with pencils/post its/ shapes/ and pictures from the web that are easy for lst -4th grade students to use as well as myself. Can I do this with this product? @@chisomcommunitydevelopment7108 Hi, Just a note- this website "Pocketful of Primary" has many tutorials on Google. I found that I can use Google slides to do some of the things I do on Jamboard. Check out How to Create interactive game boards on Google Slides by Pocketful of Primary. Good luck.
