I been playing 50 years or so, and I don't have Any backround in theory. You are my favorite in playing style. You are extremely Smooth and fluid sounding. I watch every video you post, and WISH I could get back to emulating. GLAD TO SEE THIS NEW VIDEO!!!

I am a 30/yrs playing and also know very little theory,,,,I would like to know more, but on the other hand I believe to be a good guitar player you have to develope a style of your own and have an ear tor music,,,,all kinds. !!! Play, play and play, and you will become a great player, 😎✌

Thanks, some really good ideas. Have been working on these cascades but more from the perspective of keeping them going and going - and then it can sound like an exercise. The lesson here is to simply put the brakes on! Creating natural punctuation and actual music. Will help for sure.

I've had a few licks from you for which I am very grateful. Like you I've been playing for quite some time yet there's always more to learn. Sometimes it's a movement you make that is a bit different from the way my fingers may habitually move & I take it on board in order to broaden my own playing. You explain everything very clearly which is helpful. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant lesson Robert! I am always amazed to see how much you can get out of one pentatonic scale and make it sound terrific. Thanks for this lesson!

Robert, this is fire. I have been working on that 4 note pattern and lost energy when I was playing it as an exercise. I have recently realized rhythm is way more important than I knew. I love how you put different rhythmic ideas back to back to create a great journey of sound. This puzzle piece dropped into place and it's giving me new ways of looking at old ideas. Rock on Robert Renman ;p

Why is this being sent to me when I’m not subscribed to this. I’m sick of being marketed to by would be guitar instructors when I’m not in need of their input at all. They are mostly not very good and I’d ignore their lessons their are way better players out there who understand their instrument better. I’ve played for 40 plus years and do not need ongoing lessons and can teach these pain in the ass spammers but I don’t deal with those that engage in unethical spam to market themselves online. I don’t wish to see any notifications from RU-vid on any such content that I have not subscribed to period end of story.

Terrible teaching…doesnt say notes etc at all….
@grantmiller5518
@grantmiller5518 2 года назад
The solution is to join his website or do the hard work of going through the details slowly and repeatedly. Slow the video on RU-vid. Alternatively, Vidami (loop, stop, slow, reverse, etc.) is a good pedal for learning on RU-vid and other sites.
@Coopersx1
@Coopersx1 2 года назад
For me , being able to watch what's being played is better than anything else. RU-vid lets you slow things down to pick up on what's to fast to follow. Tabs are the worst....they are always inaccurate and teach you to play things wrong. And you will never be able to figure out what was missed in the tabs....subtle slurs and dynamics are usually missing in the tablature and the tricky parts are never right...sometimes the same notes are played twice to make up for the transcribers inability to figure it out. Im from the day when their was no such thing as home video and everything had to be learned by spinning records by hand "slowly" with crazy pitch shift and unable to repeat accurately...had to lift the arm of the record player by hand to back up and play that tricky passage again....or spin the record in reverse in order to repeat...no such thing as "looping".......33 rpm's was the norm for albums and single songs were on 45's (record's) That was in the early 70's. Oh and I just received my Vidami Blue yesterday though I'll probably never use it. Also Robert Renman has won awards for his ability to teach guitar....I find his lessons and how he covers the material exceptional.
