Now this model doesn’t stop automatically which I do find so annoying I keep forgetting in and then come back to Accountant all of coffee. There are more expensive bottles that do turn themselves off probably worth paying the extra.
Many thanks, Tracey. I just couldn't figure out how to use mine, and I was on the verge of taking to a charity shop. Thanks to you, I can now enjoy my coffees! 😋
Just bought one, followed your instructions - perfect, first time. Thanks. The only glitch was that I couldn't find the little funnel thing for cleaning, but that turned out to be in its holder! I assume I could use an empty, rinsed-out coffee pod for this purpose.
Really useful. I was a bit confused as expected the pods to be empty when finished (and wasn’t sure when to turn off the hot water) but guessing you adjust how much water goes in according to taste
Yeah, she control the strength of the coffee by how much water you run through the pods are always full of water because you’ve got wet coffee grinds in there
Hi, I just got the machine and when I turn it on the red button lights up but not the green one. The red glows for five minutes and then the machine turns itself off. Is it broken or am I doing something wrong?
I just purchased one too. No English instructions, had to Google. Bit of a bind it not stopping automatically like the Tassimo but I suppose you get used to it eventually x 🤔☺️
On the pods it shows what setting to use by the number of markers. Eg for a Latte or cappuccino, its usually 5 markers on the milk one and 1 or 2 on the actual coffee pod. So where is the setting on this that allows you to adjust the markers? Or do you have to use your judgement?
Cheaper, Dulce, gusto machines you have to switch it on and off yourself. The more expensive have the slide switch that you marry up with the fuel gauge type display on the pods.
Yes, you have to stop for coffee as well. There are more expensive Dulcie gusto machines that will turn themselves off, but the cheaper models you’ve got to do it yourself. It is very easy to forget to let things overflow
Got this as a replacement for my last dolce gusto (penguin variant) which has broken. I’m gutted it doesn’t have the timing slider as it really wasn’t far from the same price. Should do the job in any case. Great demo, cheers!
Does anyone know how your supposed to figure out when to turn off the water? I've tried making the macchiato a couple of times its always watery and bland even if I try not to use too much water
Evryone has there own way. I know how far up the glass to go, but generally 20 secs of liquid is enough for me. More expensive models do this automatic
Great video, thanks. Just prepared my first cappuccino, which looked and tasted fab. My question is, I noted that the drink only used about ½ of the milk pod. Can you make a 2nd brew from the same pod? Otherwise quite a waste.
Two possibilities the water tank isn’t docked correctly or the little valve where the water tank fits has got caught some how . the other option is it needs to be descaled and maybe the inside has furred up . I have separate videos on how to descale machines
An upgraded model now exists the 260, which is now mostly automatic you just select 1 to 9 which the number is on the pod. Not fully automatice like the Bosch Tasimo which uses barcodes and a internal scanner.
@@mgtracey I did try that yet nothing however with a bit of irish/Scottish persuasion with a not to hefty fix it by hand atop the item it then started to proceed with water alas I guess something may of been blocking the water exiting which now appears to be rectified although I wouldn't suggest for others to attempt this of course. I appreciate your response , thank you.
I got one for my sons mum ,anyadvise on wich coffe to first buy her as none came with her infinissima pls keep in mind that I am Colombian and naturally proud of our coffe ,Lol nice thank you.🙂 Don Pablo supremo is very popular I'd like to try it someday soon wich have you tryed so far ?..
I have just bought this machine which appears to be very good, I just seem to be throwing away half used capsules? On watching the video I see you stopped the milk as and when but the coffee did seem to stop on its own so assume whole capsule used. I will try again with bigger glasses.
Thanks so much for a clear and concise video, which was so helpful. Far clearer than the information packaged with my birthday coffee machine. Just enjoyed making flat whites to share with my husband. A quick question - how often do you recommend cleaning the machine?
You will need to buy a pack of milk pods. They are not everyone’s taste. You could put third of a cup of milk in first then microwave for about 15-20 seconds then add coffee from machine .
Hi thank you for the video as the instructions are only in pictures and I couldn’t understand why I would use 2 pods pictured a&b! I can only drink oat milk and bought this not thinking about the milk, 🙄 so I made a caramel macchiato with only the coffee pod and topped up with oat but had to microwave, do you know if there are nice pods like caramel macchiato made with oat milk?
Thank you I have a Melody which will one day serve its last coffee. I like its large water container have been looking in ebay for a backup one, but now I know this one has a large water container will look no more, this will be my next one. One really important thing you do not mention is Descaling VERY important, better tasting coffee, longer life for your machine, might seem expensive but not really.
It depends on how hard your water is. Without it your machine will last a couple of years. I have made a seperate video on descaling which shoudl help. Differnet machine but the process is the same : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-esRuyyAKthc.html
Thank you sir for this brilliant video, two questions, where can I buy the mug you used for the cafe?😅 Question 2, can I use any pods from any company or just Nescafé pods?
