great video. just what i was looking for! we are going to disney in a few months, just got our order of MagicBand+ bands for the trip. but my wife and i already have apple watches (the kids dont, right now). ive wondered how well the magic mobile would work instead of a magicband. especially with the automatic ride photos.
Yay I'm first again! Great video as always. For now I'll stick with my magic band. I'm in the IT business and see each day how so much is being integrated with the cloud for businesses. Getting rid of servers and moving to the cloud and syncing everything to your phone, it's crazy stuff. I deal a lot with cyber security and I'm just waiting till someone hacks all this Disney tech.
Totally new to all of this--have never used Apple Wallet (I know, I know) but we are leaving this week for Disney World and I am super intrigued by the idea of using the phone/watch as our passes vs the Magic Bands (pretty sure they are dead anyway). My question is, can each of us (husband and 2 kids) have the Disney mobile app and our own tickets on our own devices? I can just "share" their passes to them? Or is it easier to have it all on one device/wallet?
It has been a while since we went to Disney and now my daughter is grown and married. Does the Magic Mobile Pass also require the finger scanner when entering the park? I remember needing to do this with the Magic Bands.
Great video. We are going with me, my wife and 3 kids. My wife has the My Disney Experience app on her phone and I use her log in for the app on my phone. Will that cause issues if we both have the passes on our phones and watches? Should I set up my own log in for My Disney Experience App?
Excellent question. While you can’t use the watch to open your hotel room you can use your phone through the my Disney experience app. So there really is no need for magic bands anymore!

Questions: 1) How does Express Pass work when you have several people set up in your Apple wallet? We used MagicMobile when we went to WDW in 2022, and it was great, but I was nervous to do Express Pass in case the party split up at some point. I didn’t want my phone to scan all the LLs if some of us weren’t there to actually go on the ride. But, at park entry in the morning, my kids complained that it took too long to swipe through all our passes. So I’m trying to figure out the best way to make it work for our upcoming trip. 2) Are you sure you can have a person’s pass on two devices with the separate devices being linked to two different Disney accounts? My teen daughter did a solo WDW trip with her cheer team a couple months ago, at which time she set up her own Disney account and downloaded the MDE app on her phone, putting her pass on her Apple wallet. But now my MDE app won’t allow me to save her pass to my wallet, although I can still see her pass in my app. Does she maybe have to send me an invite to have her pass back in my wallet? But, if she does, can she still have it in hers? 3) Finally, how do I link my upcoming park reservations to the tickets that are already in my Apple wallet from a previous trip? From the “Tickets and Passes” section of the MDE app I am selecting “Save to Wallet,” but how do I know if it worked?
Ok so what if my kids have Apple Watches also, how do I get their tickets on their watches, so they can scan themselves in to park and rides? Sorry if you explained this and I missed it.
Hi it’s my first time going to Disney and I’ve never used the magic mobile before. Do I just scan the card and go in? Do I have to scan my finger print if I’ve never been there before?
If you use your actual ticket then you wouldn’t be using magic mobile. They will take your fingerprint the first time you go in and every time after. Does this answer your question?
Question: On my first day at the park, do I still need to show up at the the ticket window and get the physical card. I’m assuming that is how they get your fingerprint?
Please help! I have an Apple Watch SE and when I downloaded my apple wallet, my Disney pass did not pull over. Is there a way to pull the card over to my apple wallet on my watch?
I have a question. My wife has all the tickets for us on her mobile app. Can she get both of us into Disney and all attractions from her Apple Watch/ iPhone or does she need to share our passes to me as you showed in this video? I guess, if you want to make another video on this, how does the mobile pass app work when you have multiple people and tickets?
She can do it all right from her phone if that’s easiest! She would just add each ticket to her wallet and scan each one separately at the touch point. You would just provide your fingerprint when she gets to yours! Does that answer your question?
My wife, daughter, and her friend are going on the trip, we all have apple watches. How can I get their pass on their apple watches from My disney account?

Love the video. Very informative. I do have a question, let’s say I have all the tickets on my phone, for example , I have my brothers ticket , can I share it to him and then he will have it in his Wallet and just have to scan his phone? Is that right?

Thanks for this. My Apple Watch Ultra is on the way & I’m learning how all this works. My question: seems like there can only be one pass? I have a ticket for the Very Merry Christmas Party & an Annual Pass. But it seems like my Apple Wallet is only capable of registering one of those items. When i try to load the Xmas party ticket, it seems to kick my annual pass out of the wallet. Curious if that’s correct or if it just LOOKS like it only had one ticket/pass.
Yea you can definitely have multiple ones on the phone. Does it kick it out all together or can you just go into the wallet and select one of the other passes manually? Also, let me know what you think of the ultra! I’m a big runner and am tempted to make the switch!
@@ExpeditionNeverland kicks it out all together. I made a point to switch the aesthetic look to see which one was registering in the Wallet. And yes, I’m excited for the AWU. I’m coming from a Garmin 945, which is great but I want to be in the Apple ecosystem for things exactly like Apple Pay & the Wallet. I’m sure I’ll post some vids on my channel. 👍

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much. My family and I are from outside the US and staying at a hotel outside the disney property, can you clarify few more things for me please. Do I need to add magic mobile on my apple wallet or can my wife add mine’s and our kid’s ticket pass to hers therefore we only need to scan one phone for the all of us? And is this what we scan for rides?
Correct she can have them all on hers! You only need to scan for rides if you are using genie+. Otherwise you’ll just scan at the entrance to the park!

I have 7 in my party, 4 Apple Watches I shared the tickets with the 4 who have phones/watches. What do I do about the 3 littles who don’t have watches. If I scan my watch does it automatically scan all 7 tickets at once?
I have 4 magic mobile passes for my family. I will share their passes with them for their own device but will still keep all 4 in my wallet. if i want to still be able to tap my phone/watch for my ticket do i just turn off the express mode in wallet for their cards so it will select the correct one?
6:50 Regarding the Bluetooth technology Disney uses to automatically load ride pictures to your phone… As mentioned, this does not always work. I had to go on multiple occasions to a Disney photo station to get ride pictures loaded to my phone. You just have to know approximately what time you were on the ride and then you scroll through a set of pictures to identify yours. Now sometimes the technology detected my picture, but it is not smart enough to realize that my party of 6 is in different ride vehicles, so I would have to go to the photo stations to identify the pics of the rest of my family that weren’t in my picture.
