@@jayneestrycker7453 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. It’s a lot of new information, I was try my best to have it make sense. 😊 Thank you! Glad the video could help
Great breakdown, Meg. Big fan of the updated interface for the tiers and times. Also had no idea about the fries at Casey’s. All these trips and I’ve never eaten there, just passed through.
Thanks Meg as always thanks for the tutorial thinking about this. Still makes me a little dizzy. Hopefully, I’ll have a nice friend/expert around next time I get down there help me out a little bit. It makes sense with. It’s a little overwhelming.😂😂😂😂 later. Have a great weekend my lady friend.😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That video was very helpful thank you very much really good with getting us the information we need , I really miss watching Michael Kay. He was my favorite blogger. I miss him and I hope he’s doing OK. He just disappeared. I hope someday we get to see him again. You take care and hope you and your family are well.
Thanks for the nice overview. I'm pleased to see that they still allow you to get a new LL once you've scanned in to your first one, even though you are still holding 2 more LL's from your initial reservation of 3. Given the cost of the service, to swallow the extra expense it helps if you can get LL's throughout the day and really maximize its benefit. It appears nothing was taken away with this update to the Genie+ system, though I do wonder about what the experience of non-Disney resort guests will be with it, given that they will be behind all the resort guests for booking. Also, it can't be ignored how much money the use of the LL service adds to a trip. The price was $15 per person/per day with Genie+ just a couple of years ago, but the cost has gone way up since then.
So my family of 4 have to pay about $170 each to get in and then $20 to $29 each per ride if you want to ride the good stuff. Thats $116 for 4 people each ride and you think this is a good thing?
I think the key will be having your first LLs as early as possible in order to have a chance at a coupe more meaningful ones. I hope they put the characters back in. I think that will go a long way to take pressure off the system
I hadn't been there with the old fast pass so I have no experience with it. Enjoyed genie plus though, it was more spontaneous and you could stack on the afternoon. I feel like with the new system people will be on their app more often looking for new times because the times seem to free up and change more often. I can tell this new system is more geared to folks who go once every few years or old people like my parents who don't know how to optimize how things work haha. We'll see how it turns out over time.
The issue is obviously going to be availability, especially for non resort guests. The biggest question is if there will be any Tier 1 or highly prized Tier 2 rides available at all day of, once everyone starts prebooking.
For grandparents coming with family members, the LL multi-pass will be complex. That's because there is no way to synchronize LL passes across multiple people, parents and children.
With the option to select rides in another park after the initial 3 rides, do you have to first have purchased the multipass for the other parks? Not sure if you can purchase one multipass per day and park hop accordingly, or if you have to purchase the multipass for every park you want to visit that day.
@@Carla-hl3fm you can purchase up to 2 single passes per day. And yes you can purchase them in advance, up to 7 days out for Disney resort guests and 3 days out for all other guests. 😊
Wait, so did they get rid of the Virtual Queue? And if so, the only way to ride Tron now is if you pay for it separately, or is there a stand-by line for that now?
@neil5819 - I actually had the same question so I called Disney directly. I was informed that the virtual queues for Tron & Guardian are still in place. You will still need to get on your phone by 7am EST to join the queue. 😊

I simply do not get how you think this system is better?! Booking your first 3 rides in advance is “nice” but not at the expense of NO GOOD RIDES being available after 2pm!!! This system is garbage, forcing you to use it to book lightning lanes for rides like Tiki Room, Dumbo or Small World?? Rides with low standby wait times. There is no way this system is better if you can only get good rides for the first 4 hours of your park day. And it will only get worse when the parks get busy! Am I wrong?
