3:10 not only is this really well done and super informative, you also demonstrate you're comfortable showing how it works on yourself! Only bad owners use these collars as cruel punishment. I have demoed on myself many times to show people that it isn't supposed to be painful and the stigma is misplaced.
Thanks for the great informative video on the Dogtra ARC. I have owned the 200NCP and 300M for years. I was not thinking about the ARC collar until I saw your video.
Thank you for the informative Dogtra Arc demonstration. On the official site it was difficult to make out whether the collar had a vibrate only feature since I prefer to use the vibrate over the static.

I have an older ecollar that was used on our now past golden. We have a new girl and I'm getting ready for the training to begin. We didn't have to use it on the old dog because she had to be on leash due to her medical condition. I took it out and charged it up (bought new batteries). For the life of me I couldn't remember how to activate the collar and hand set. Thanks.

If it is too loose, it will be very confusing for your dog.
So my dog Kirby is from a home where he was abused with a shock collar via an electric fence. Uneducated owners! He’s now terrified of any beep as he knows it’s the warning beep, and he’ll hide under something for as long as possible. Do you think at low levels, this could replicate what he knows at all?
Thanks for explaining, do the collars come in different sizes? The one you're showing I can wrap around my dogs belly and maybe around her chest. She's a mix breed medium height but athletic-ly build, she weighs only 15-16 kgs.
I'm having a hard time finding out which one I should purchase. I like all of the features of this one but I'll never need a 2 collar function. Is there one that is cheaper that only has 1 collar functions or should I just stick with this one?

I'm new to using this and I for awhile I was very much against e-collars until I watched a friend use one and I noticed how far they've come with adjusting to low levels without putting the dog in major pain and just grabbing their attention. I don't plan to shock often and on a very low setting.Vibration is probably something i'll use often. I am currently looking at the Dogtra 280c or the EZ Educator as you suggested. I can't decide on which one. What would you say is the best overall e-collar?
+Anthony St. Upery personally, I prefer the EZ educator. One of the biggest reasons is that you can lock your level, that way you don't accidentally bump the dial and use the button on a higher than necessary level. Also, the stim is usually softer than the vibrate mode, so I almost always will "tap" my dog with a low level stim over the vibrate, because my dog is way more sensitive to the vibrate (meaning it's too much for him). Just something to think about. I would also highly recommend getting a couple private sessions with a professional trainer to help you introduce it properly to your dog. It's a great tool! But if your dog doesn't understand it, it can cause a mess of confusion. (I also offer Skype lessons if you are interested, I can lay out the step by step of how to intro it properly.) :)

Does the Dogtra Arc 802 transmitter work with Dogtra Arc 1202 collars? Is the transmitter the same? (need to buy replacement transmitter but can't buy them stand-alone locally)
The dogtra arc never gave consistent levels. I noticed this with different dogs, and told Dogtra and they didn't even respond. I still own a dogtra, but I'm disappointed in the company
Change the title... USE means what to do with a dog and an e-collar to do it correctly. This is about how to enable the collar and the features... not at all 'use' it.
It depends on how much you use it. If You leave it on for hours, and you use it often, it may last 2-3 days. the recharge is only 2 hours though, so there is not much wait time. :) When i use the ARC with my dog, it lasts about 4 days, because i don't have to activate it often, and i turn it off at night.
6 minute video on how to use & never explain how to properly fit your dog. Covers ridiculously unnecessary things but not one of the most important....sigh
