Here's my workflow for auditioning and printing drum samples in a mix. I recommend that you commit your triggered drums to audio in this way, for a few reasons discussed in the video.

Hi sir . I want if you also send your samples to the parallel drum compression?

Hey Jordan. Have you tried to just do Commit or Track Bounce instead? It would save time on manually printing real time.

I honestly have the same question. Is there a difference in both methods outcome, or is it two methods with the exact same outcome?

I think its because he selects part of track and record with different velocity. Automation can be used for that too though.

Jordan...Where do you store all your samples for Trigger...?

Is the sample just one kick sample? How do velocities work with samples? Im used to addictive drums and how it handles round robin

Very cool. Thanks for making this video, just one question with the velocity hits. In trigger, when you do trigger a hit, does it match the velocity of the recorded hits, or were you literally turning down the velocity for when you think it needs to be punched in? Like for example, if i recorded a soft and hard hit of a snare, and set the velocity range in trigger to the widest it could be, would that react to the correct velocities in slate trigger? Or is that velocity knob you were messing with change the velocity of the sample throughout? Sorry if that was worded weird, just trying to figure out if slate trigger is worth getting or if i should go with something a bit more in depth like kontakt or something else.

+pete zengerle The dynamics knob works like this: at 100%, it mirrors the dynamics of the source track. At 0%, it means all hits will be triggered with hard hits no matter what the source track is. So on my first pass i'm getting all the hard hits down, then turning the knob up to punch in on fills with more dynamics.

Logic has a Bounce In Place feature which would print the track without all the routing
@amphlett7

ProTools also has that, just not in this older version

Why did you print the snare trigger to a stereo audio track vs a mono audio track?

Why use samples? Why not just mix the live drums to taste? Great video anyway.

samples add consistency to the drums, for modern productions where you want clarity, punch and that in your face and controlled sound., an inconsistent drum sound would work against you for this propuse.
