very helpful. ID love to also see a vid of using carplay for navigating trips. you're right, the VW nav is kinda sub par. you can't even see a list of all the stops you'll be making on the route

The shorter videos that demonstrate a specific feature are very helpful. It is nice to be able to search RU-vid to find an appropriate video. In this case I searched for: electrify america app carplay

Agreed, the CatPlay integration is a huge upgrade. I’ve tried it on our road trip this week from Seattle to Los Angeles, about 10 charging sessions, and it worked 8 times I think. One time it failed (I think) because I took my iPhone out of the car to record what I was doing. I now leave my phone in the car until charging commences. The other time it failed on a charger that not even EA customer service could get started. I find that sometimes when I use EA to initiate navigation to the charging station, it takes a bit of fiddling to get the app to recognize that we’ve reached the station (so it should give me the option to pick a charger). But overall, agreed, a big step forward.

I like a mix. It’s fun to see road-trips if not hours long but also when things like this come up it’s cool to get an update as well. Nice that they did it but man everyone who does a video about not superchargers is a mad cap adventure if you’ll have one working or not.

Shorter is Better for demonstrations unless you are doing a road trip. Great Video. Gotta test it out with my Android App. Thanks!!! I wish a phone was not necessary to charge your car with Electrify America. Just plug in the vehicle and that's it.

I like the longer road trip videos but the shorter videos like this covering a single topic or maybe the charging or battery degradation for example. It depends on what my mood is that day really. Well EA maybe the fine money from VW they would have given the government but I don't believe it's VW employees running the network only the money from them.

Hey JK: Really appreciate this video and the new functionality that your sharing regarding AirCarPlay, EA charging and the ID4. I've had an eGolf for two years and am looking to purchase an ID4. Unfortunately, I have too many friends that like to slag the VW EVs in favour of Telsa. I do like Tesla but, would like to continue with a VW. Thanks again for your video. Cheers, Paul K

I wish the EA app with Apple CarPlay would show the charging speed in kW or replicate what shows on the charger screen instead of sitting there blank while charging is in progress. Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Watching 8 months later and EA Maintenance is still nonexistent in California 50% of these chargers are off not available malfunctioning or just plain crap
