How fun! I bought some fiber paper and felt for making jewelry slides as shown at 6:00. Never thought to use it for making impressions or raised shapes in an otherwise flat piece. Gonna have to try little pcs in my microwave kiln. TFS!
There is a point in using rigidizer; One of the main reason I like using the fiber paper is that it replaces the need for kiln washing. I've saturated a section of felt with rigidizer. The felt section was cut first to make slumping holes once dry this felt is rigid enough to beplaced on kiln posts to allow the glass to slump threw. . The big point here is that once the felt is saturated then dried glass will stick to and it must be kiln washed to prevent the glass from sticking to it.
