I love Grammarly but have a Grammarly horror story. If you overuse the automatically generated Grammar suggestions your College essay will be FLAGGED AS AI WRITTEN. I had written an essay that was completely original and not AI-written. I was brain dead exhausted and had pasted over my original draft instead of making a new draft. My essay was returned as 30% AI written. I did not have my original draft (pre-Grammarly corrections) to show as evidence that my content was written by me. When it comes to using Grammarly grammar re-write suggestions, please be careful and always make sure to have multiple drafts! Due to my having saved my Essay multiple times in ONE document, there was no hope for Control Z to save me. Please be careful as I don't want anyone to make the same mistake I did. I had to choose a different topic and re-write the Essay.
An interesting video. There is a bigger issue with a generation not thinking for themselves, they'll become exponentially more stupid. Don't forget about the privacy issues too...
@christopherfarrell Agree. Going as far as to say it will certainly be the dumbing down of people, and probably part of the plan IMHO. Then we're much easier to control. 😅 But it’s a topic for another channel.
I think your comment is incredibly unfair. The videos show information on software, what it does, and how to use it. You are confusing information with advertisement - this is informational about a software product - showing how to use it as a tutorial. The fact that they sponsored the video means that they are helping support the channel, but doesn't change the message of how to use the tool.
Anther ad... If I don't know something, Grammarly can fill it in for me! No brains required! Say, if you are doing a project on renewable energy....What renewable energy are you talking about? Does Grammarly have the answer? Yes! It does! How amazing! .....Just one thing....what is it? Here it is! Grammarly (apparently) has the answer to renewable energy. So what is it? Grammarly has an answer alright.... where your money is going if you use this travesty. These ads are an insult to your intelligence.
I will be moving away from Grammarly because every once in while it will change the characters in my book to the letter I. I don't get an explanation from support.
I said it is a crutch.Skills are being lost. One of those skills is prose. If someone were to send me an email, or post a reply to a comment I have made, I may judge them in some way about the way they write. Now I do not know if that response was from a human or an algorithm. I am, therefore, required to dismiss everything I read. This is simply logical. Remember the phrase you used was for people who had to bring bad news and were unjustly punished for it. This guy does not have to do this. He does it because he is payed to. Grammarly is one of the worse things that humans could have invented....just you wait and see. Evert email, every message, every report all from one author....Grammarly. If I discovered that one of my staff was using Grammarly instead of doing the work themselves, I would terminate thier employment. Why wouldn't I?
I noticed this no feature and love it but every now and then it completely disappears off the app and I cannot find it. I don’t know if it’s a bug or if they realize it’s doing this but there’s times that it’s not there anymore and it’s like it’s disappeared.

I have MS Word 365. I recently downloaded Grammarly Premium. Now, it makes words at the end of a line, NOT A SENTENCE, AS NEEDING A PERIOD. How can I stop that? I would appreciate ANY help.
