Thank you a lot teacher. I am from Vietnam. I would like to summarize your 3 methods for learning English by using habits: 1. Stack a new habit with an old habit, like putting an English book on the bed so that we can read a few words before falling in sleep. 2. Learn daily. Set small goals. Divide your goals into 100 pieces so that a baby can get them. 3. Give yourself a reward so that dopamine can work and we want to learn again, again and again
My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!
You are the best teacher I’ve ever seen! If l’ll be in Canada I would like to shake you hand and say “thank you” for your videos for a long time James!
I sure hope I got this right, as this advice/habits/mindsets/goals video is “gold.” I shared this with others but specially my daughter so she may succeed as a new student at her soon to be university. 1. Stacking: To form a second new habit AFTER the first habit is already in place. 2. Short term goals: “Easy peasy.” Make it SMALL and EASY for EVERYDAY use. IMPORTANT: a) Chose a time and a place: To be consistent, daily, uninterrupted, and concentrate the most. 3. Celebrate by: a.) dopamine=feel good, to do it again. b.) reward=give yourself another longer goal. Again, thank you sir James. 😊
Yeah cheers for this advices .. Easy peasy lemon 🍋 squeezy . My three goals . To write ✍️ speak 🗣 and read as if I were educated in an English country . This channel has been useful to me for the past six months, thankyou so much for the lessons. Could you please help me understand how and when to use... everyone and everybody, anyone and anybody, someone and somebody.
It's good video, give us some lessons about learning faster,, but it would be better, if u give some words/sentences/animation on video, so it makes easier for us to understand. Thankyou sir
I always get to watch one of your lessons while I'm eating my lunch. I think this's gradually becoming a habit and I even feel uncomfortable when I haven't watched anything from your channel in a day.😂

"Wonder if there's anything to smoke down here". Best intro ever 😂 Love your lessons, James! I've been learning a lot with you for the past few months.
Hi James. Thank you for making videos interesting! Can you please prepare a video about ‘since’ vs ‘because’? Recently I noticed that I don’t use the word because anymore, since there is no need for that. See, again :) I need your help.
My gosh... as if I'd needed another reason more to have a chocolate bar! Haha... I'll get super advanced and 30 pounds heavier 😆 Thank you for your great content and all that vocab! Greetings from México!!
Dear james! I have an exam on grammar and struggling with pre and post modifers, i would greatly appreciate it if you could make a video about it! Best regards!
Thank you James. Maybe any ideas (examples) in a list of habits to study a foreign language? Only some pages of reading and number of words to memorize come to my mind)))
Hello sir... you have extremely beneficial videos... really appreciate them....I wanted to ask if you know of any online courses to become an English teacher and teach English to non-english speakers?...thank u
Good bye, dear teacher! Utube is closed by russian users. Thanks for your job! Your videos are very heartwarming. Good luck and happy life! ¡No pasaran!)
I like to watch RU-vid videos and find something new, that's why half of the subscription channels on RU-vid i have and watch everyday are English speaking channels. I do what i love to do and at the same time listen natural English in different situations. Yeah maybe i still have a bad grammar because i do not study it at all. But sometimes after watching a video i want to recommend it my friends couple weeks later then realize it was English they don't understand. But i have a condition when most of the time i can easily watch English RU-vid channels without a trouble, but at the same time have issues with movie watching without Eng. subtitles. Because of mumbling, combining words in unrecognizable mess, not proper pronunciation, lack of vocabulary of course. But i work on it. Watching tv series as like X-files, Psych, Lie to Me, Baywatch is the last one i currently watching. It's interesting but takes twice as much time if i want to understand every word. Because of pause and play for translation reason. I love your channel! You are a HUGE!!! MAN!!! Thank you for your work! You do a great job!
Hi, I have a little bit problem. In the Kung Fu Panda movie master Oogway told master Shifu "I have had a vision". Why didn't he say 'I have a vision' or 'I had a vision' instead of "I have had a vision".
