This was the first useful video on henna dying, after watching 4 others. THANKS for being concise and helpful

oh I love henna!I use it do dye my hair red/ginger and I love it!It looks so natural, nobody would notice that it's not my natural colour. I use Pakistan henna (zarqa), one of the best hennas. I let it sit for 2/3 hours and then I rinse without shampoo. Nature is powerful :)

I'm naturally an ashy blonde - you can see it in this video at 0:26 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z8uHSZ1NVpo.html If you have darker hair, it will be dark. Henna doesn't lighten the hair, it just coats it so if you're wanting more of a light copper colour, I'd go for chemical dyes :)

My hair is sort of black , can I use the henna without lightening my hair to get some red in it or do I have to lighten my hair ?

You have to use lighting

I know you may not see this comment as this is an old video now, but would you be able list the products you showed at the start of the video? The website in the description is not in English and it would be cool to know what all the products you showed are called, if you get what I'm saying! Thank you so much for this video!!

They're by a brand called khadi which I believe you can find on amazon/eBay. Hope that helps!

Have you used box dye / chemical dye since using henna? Was just curious, cause I used CaCa Rouge by lush 8 months ago and wanted to use a red chemical hair dye but I'm not sure if I can yet.

Yeah, I switch it up all the time :) people say you're not supposed to but I've left 6-8 weeks in between and it's been completely fine x

I love your hair color. This is what I want but at my hair is coming like red 😒
@anaf4414
@anaf4414 7 лет назад
This is gorgeous copper blond exactly the color I want. But I'm confused because a friend of mine did the same khadi henna and had much darker color, and her base was blond. Did you add anything else?
@RockyApplebee
@RockyApplebee 7 лет назад
Ana F I didn't add anything else BUT, henna comes out differently on everyone because it coats the hair and the colour you get depends on what you hair is like to start with. I had previously dyed it with chemical dyes which made it lighter. I've been using only henna for about a year now and the chemical dye has almost grown out (watch my recent videos to see the colour now). It's a lot darker now but I think it looks much more natural. Hope that helps!

Thank you for taking the time to answer. My base is faded strawberry blond chemical dye and want to do henna but I want to have exactly this color. I was thinking to mix golden blond and red khadi henna, or just red, what do you think?
@RockyApplebee
@RockyApplebee 7 лет назад
Ana F I don't know about mixing colours as I've never tried it. my hair was faded (light) ginger before so it might come out a similar colour to this. Also remember that this is shot with studio lights which will reflect light more

Shouldn’t u wait day or 2 before using shampoo? To let henna settle and show its true color
@RockyApplebee
@RockyApplebee 3 года назад
You can if you like :) I found that I had to shampoo it out because it just doesn't come out fully and I'd end up with bits of muddy henna still in my hair. For me, the henna was really strong and shampooing it didn't reduce the colour at all. Hope that helps :)

I was just thinking about using henna instead of a chemical hairdye because I'd like to have a natural color but I don't know which one I should use because there are so many! I've thought about using the one from Lush. Is it good? and, if I have naturally medium brown hair, do you think the color would be visible?
@missvonmonroebiersack7069
@missvonmonroebiersack7069 9 лет назад
+Sara Rapisarda I have medium brown hair as well and the red henna dye from lush does leave a red tint on my hair. If i am outside in the sun the dye is a lot more visible outside and that is that I left it in for maybe like 10 hours (overnight) because my hair is so dark. I must say that as it fades it doesn't totally leave my hair and definitely stains the natural blondeish highlights I have but I did leave it in for a really long time. Also I found that it doesnt look unnatural on me and that as my hair begins to grow there is no stark dyed to roots line. I personally like it just to add some natural color to my hair :)

Hi! Love the color. Do you know if it will work on dyed hair (it's dyed blonde, but just a little more blonde than my natural hair, so nothing extreme)?

I've seen your previous henna hair tutorial using the lush henna, which henna hair dye do you find easier to use? Is one more effective than the other?x

so I know this is like waaay late, but you said the brand was called khadi and I'm just curious because, I have been dying for a natural red copper look but I could never achieve it and henna seems like my only option and when I looked up khadi I got 2 results. So I looked up khadi and didn't realize you had a link oops, but I found a website called khadi natural? Theyre pretty cheap and have a lot of handmade natural prody=ucts including henna dye with jatropa, amla and something else, ever heard of it? and one more question is have you ever use mehandi ancient sunrise or whatever he name of it is? thanks!
@RockyApplebee
@RockyApplebee 7 лет назад
Taylor Dawn Hi, I don't know for sure, just make sure that you're getting henna for hair, not for body art. Also double check the colour. Sorry I can't advise you better, I have only tried 2 brands of henna (this one and one from LUSH)
