​@@NoNameNoWorriesRegarding that, is it possible to set up 2 or 3 different paths for the same race? So for example in races in highways, some cars might go on one side and other cars on the other

@@sgtfraud You’d probably want to use the AI script manager for that because hotlapping has all the AI follow a specific path

I figured out that if you have the AI ui app open and you set each car with awareness on then they switch it up a little bit

Thanks for the sub! I'm not too sure if it'd work in multiplayer, but I think it's possible because AI traffic can be spawned in private multiplayer servers (I've tested it with someone)

I will try in MP sometime soon, for now I've just tried to follow your tutorial and I can get as far as creating the checkpoints and getting the AI to drive etc, but it seems at least for me the ability to save is broken. I click to rename as it suggests and seems the field can't be typed in. I am running the latest beam version. Seems others have had this issue recently too, can you reproduce this at all?

Hotlapping is the perfect method to use for setting up togue races - you could probably recreate some Initial D races too

@@NoNameNoWorries when there not being boosted to 30lbs of PSI on the original crankshaft, or pre 2012 when the head gaskets whent bad every 10k miles, there pretty decent I mean heck, my mom's 2023 Crosstrek has a 6 speed manual, short wheelbase, 187hp flat four engine for weight distribution and a decently low center of gravity, it's a great car and I'm glad I learned how to drive on it

Sorry for the late response! I think to hide it you’d just have to remove it from your ui apps, OR you can press Ctrl+U to hide the UI

The AI need ai nodes in order to follow paths, so maybe that map doesnt have any? you can probably open it in blender and add the nodes

@@hubertkenobi7 I turned AI to random and they only drove around the smaller track, turning around at random points. So with that, I'm assuming there are no AI nodes on the bigger track.

What map were you on? Because I believe you need a map with AI nodes so the AI can recognize the turns and speed needed

Yea, what I did to fix that was I set the AI mode to random, then started the hotlap and it fixed them going slow!

What map are you trying this on? I believe I mentioned in the video that the map you’re on needs AI nodes in order for the AI to be able to drive

@@TheCrashZone. You’d just have to tune each one in the vehicle config menu and save the configurations for future use as well

@@TheCrashZone. Any engine upgrade, stage 1 turbo and a tune is always balanced - any higher than a stage 1 turbo is overkill on AI cars

The map has no AI nodes; in order for the AI to drive, they need a path to follow and some mod creators don't take the time to add AI nodes because it can be a lengthy process. Usually they'll say in the mod description if the map has AI nodes or not. Hopefully that helped :)

If they aren’t moving, then your map doesn’t have AI nodes implemented on the roads

You can use modded cars 🔥 You can always used modded maps so long as they have AI nodes placed on the roads!

They didn’t move because the map you were on doesn’t have AI nodes - you have to make sure whatever map your on says it has AI nodes

There’s another UI app that lets you change the risk values of AI traffic so maybe you can try experimenting with that? They usually go full throttle though when I setup hotlaps

You have to click on advanced and it will pop up once you start placing hotlap checkpoints

I don't believe the hotlaps can be saved, but I record them using the replay tool so I can get different angles

You just have to open your UI apps and add it on the screen :) Like I did in the video
