My apologies as I kept referring to the consumer igniter as "e-match" or "consumer e-match" in this video.

Hi, love your video. I don't have any experience with these kind of things, so I ain't sure if I would be able to manipulate correctly the firework for the E-match, so I'm looking to use the consumer ones. Are they efective? Will they burn the fuze correctly? Sorry for my bad English, greetings from Spain 🇪🇸❤

Hello Spain! Consumer igniters work perfectly fine for the average user. PROS: simple to use CONS: delayed ignition - delicate wire filament - may not work with all firing systems as these igniters require more voltage over a long period to "glow hot" - most systems only recommend 1 or maybe 2 igniters per cue - may not ignite larger diameter or "coated" fuse. As for using e-match PROS: instant ignition - works with all low voltage systems - can easily fire 3-4 cues in parallel (maximizing the use of each cue on receiver if you so chose) CONS: must be connected internally to device through existing fuse hole. (be sure to check your systems capabilities) In our opinion, e-match wins every time. Slightly more labor intensive...BUT...instantaneous ignition, bigger capacity to fire more items from same cue, a strong degree of water resistance verses having an external fuse exposed to unexpected rain, or the fuse wicking moisture from the ground (especially if on grass) or with high humidity and/or evening dew...while providing you with peace of mind.

Hi, how to install the little red igniter on roman candle, cone fountain and other types of fiteworks ?
@BillyRocketFireworks

As long as you are able to direct "fire" from ematch to powder core of fuse...you will have ignition. Paper tape will aid in the connection. OR...simply use the "clip on" type consumer igniters for an easier solution.

Hello, I bought some batteries from you, the firework has two wicks. 1 Starter, second spare. If a second visibility is attached to the spare wick, will it work? Or what's the best way to do it? Thank you)

Hello, not sure I understand your comment. Contact us via email and/or provide a picture of the fusing you are referring to. I would be speculating without images and product info. Please refer to your products label or contact your supplier (where purchased from) for detailed instructions on proper use.

could you use a small wooden spike instead of the brass awl to avoid sparking but still punch a hole ?
@BillyRocketFireworks
@BillyRocketFireworks Месяц назад
Yes, if you only had a few items to do OR if this is just a one time thing. Remember we are just "enlarging" the existing fuse hole opening to accommodate the "protective" shroud on the e-match. Best advice, invest in a non-sparking awl for safety, control, durability, and comfort.

Can they be reused if DIY?

Not sure...the commercial ones we offer are all "one time use" only.

Yes, all igniters are "one time" use only.

@@BillyRocketFireworksseems like its a waste of resourses for a onetime use

@@mcemtpockets1775 thank you for sharing your insight. Igniters provide the user the most important benefit of all...the safety of distance with great peace of mind when discharging any type of firework. Others, still prefer the light and run technique.

Wouldn’t it be better to leave the plastic part out - simply slide it back and then insert?
@BillyRocketFireworks
@BillyRocketFireworks 2 года назад
Not advisable - those "match heads" are friction sensitive - the shroud provides the match head protection -
