The start stop system could reduce the environmental impact of the vehicle, but Land Rover simply engineered it so poorly that it often does the opposite.

@@beanapprentice1687 Stop start just causes more wear and tear on the components, battery, starter and emission control components that are only environmentally efficient when ref hot. As soon as the engine of off they are starting to cool and tale even longer to get back to a proper working temperature. I don’t doubly LR poorly engineered the system to what would otherwise be a nicely designed vehicle. My V8 Porsche Cayenne has clean emissions and for a full hour of idling uses barely over a litre of fuel. A negligible cost monetarily and environmentally when compared to throwing components in the bin.
